Beautiful location. There is plenty of parking, free toilets (probably 7/10 on cleanliness when I visited). The dunes are amazing. It’s very easy to walk to a the edge of the dune where you have a large view of the dune. It’s not handicap accessible however if you can walk it’s a short easy walk to the edge. To climb the dune it took about 30 minutes for a group of young people to climb to the top. View is worth it. You can see both the North Sea and Baltic. Easily see skagen and whatever cruise ship is in port. Great visit for the family. Very clean.

Simply stunning.
I went there last year and I'm still thinking about it, if you are wondering whether to go or not don't think too much about it and just go.
You won't regret it.
Another reason to go if the first part of the review didn't convince you: there were many doggos having the best times of their lives :)

Wow. The biggest sandbox one can imagine. The sand feels like silk on your feet. No need to bring your shoes for your walk but bring enough water as you might want to stay longer than you thought. Such a fun place for kids and adults.

Wow. Just wow. What a sight to see! Feels almost strange to suddenly find yourself surrounded by sand dunes in Denmark. Worth the visit if only just to sit and take in the experience. Do recommend.

Absolutely best place to visit.. A cold desert, that’s what it is! An absolute stunning view of mountain high white sand dunes just lying around in middle of nowhere, surrounded by lush green forest! One of the most breathtaking places I have ever visited. Loved it, hopefully I’ll come back in future to spend an entire day here!

A giant sand dune that you would totally not expect in a country like Denmark. In some places you can only see sand and more sand. I really recommend it. Probably there's some way to reach by bus, but if you go by car is an easy parking. Also there is a small building with toilettes and picnic tables. By the way, there are some reviews/photos with a lighthouse, those reviews are incorrect and correspond to Rubjerg Knude!

A cold desert, that’s what it is! An absolute stunning view of mountain high white sand dunes just lying around in middle of nowhere, surrounded by lush green forest! From the top of the dunes you could see seas on both ends. One of the most breathtaking places I have ever visited. Loved it, hopefully I’ll come back in future to spend an entire day here!

An impressive sight. You suddenly end up in a miniature desert where a few hundred meters before fields and forests were.

Absolutely astonishing place, the view was breathing, amazing and beautiful! Wasteland changing into a desert and then into a forest with the seas on both ends. I spend there many hours just chilling, watching sunrises and sunsets and drawing pictures into the sand. In the morning and in the evening it's possible to be there alone with no tourists but even during a day there were always just a few families. It was one of the most exciting places I have ever visited. Love it and I hope I get back very soon.

Unique place with stunning views, definitely worth visiting. Surprisingly, it is fairly empty, with not many tourists.

Beautiful and surreal. Super strange that there is so much land to form a spectacular landform in the middle of nowhere. Nice experience exploring the little dunes and gorgeous vantage portions.

This is a great place to bring kids of all ages. To get to the top you need to be fairly agile though and wheel chair access or strollers is not possible except a few days a year where a walking path is laid out like you see on my pictures. The sand dune looks very impressive from the parking lot (free parking) where there are designated spots for passenger cars and autocampers. It can be a bit difficult to find a long spot for autocampers or caravans as some passenger cars doesn't respect the marking. From the parking lot you walk through the most beautiful dunes up on the big Råbjerg Mile Dune. From the top you can see the ocean on both sides of Denmark on a good day. Kid and most adults (self included) thinks it is very fun to run down the dune again. The sand is some of the finest and softest you will find in Denmark. The dune is the biggest migrating dune in northern Europe and has an area of around 2 km2 or 0.4 sqm mile and a height of 40m or 59ft. Which is almost a mountain in flat Denmark. 😉 It is visited by more than 250.000 people every year and is a must see. Expect to spend 1-2h here if you have kids and 1h if you are just adults.

A perfect location for those who wish to experience the feeling of having been sent to the desert in Denmark! Leisurely stroll along, up the hill, down the hill. Occasional optical illusions (cocktail bar) when its a warm day. Gritty teeth on windy days. Thats normal, keep walking. Lots of people with cameras trying to take pictures of birds. Please don't feed these people! ;-)

A desert in Denmark? Yes! And it is amazing. Walk on the dunes, run or just sit down and enjoy the landscape. Absolutely wonderful!

What a fantastic visit...! Of course, the landscape is absolutely fascinating, but what made this trip even more memorable for this clumsy guy, was the kindness of a person, who somewhere in one of hundreds of sand dunes found my mobile phone and thoughtfully place it on top of the gate by the parking lot. Thank you SO much...!
