Ejer Bavnehøj

Hey everyone... Historically Ejer Bavnehøj was mostly known as a site for a beacon where signal-fires were lit in order to warn the military and local population if the enemy were on the way. Denmark's highest peak is also nearby... Clean and quiet place...

Unique building in one of the highest point in Denmark. You can walk on the top of it to enjoy the 360° landskape view. There are few benches around, toilet and a path for a walk

I did not know about "the signal" so imagine my bewilderment when I exited the public toilets and the tower started to "call me" on a cloudy day when I was the only one there. A very magical experience.

Well designed space for experiencing the highest point in Denmark. Wonderful nature all around. Clean everywhere.

It's an awesome place. Especially with the new sound system installed. The view from the tower is fantastic on a clear day. Access to the tower is only 5 kr.

A great place to explore Denmark's countryside. The sound installation that occasionally starts is really cool.

Great place and contrary to all the other "highest mountains in other countries" very comfortable to reach. ;-)
You have a great view on top of the Monument. There is even a elevator for wheelchairs there, which is pretty nice.

The highest peak of Denmark, which measure only 170m. Quite funny. But very interesting and relaxing place.

Beautiful view and free to visit.

A worthy stop on the motorway for anyone, outdoor type or otherwise. Beautifully kept lawn and garden with a nice kiosk with excellent hot dogs and a pleasant 1,5km walk over Denmark's highest peak. Plus you can climb the stairs on the monument fire a fabulous view.

This is the 3rd highest place in Denmark. The road goes up through picturesque villages to a sleek tower built in bricks. It is devided in two parts - one houses a stair case that leads upwards and another - downwards which is very comfortable. The number of stairs, however, is not equal! There is also an elevator so there will not be any problems for anyone :) The view is absolutely fantastic! Right in front of the tower there is a small shop where travellers can buy drinks and snacks. There is also a restroom right behind.

I just love ejer Bavnehøj. The weather will affect your visit. But it will most likely be a nice visit. There is lots of free parking. An ice-cream stand and toilets available.

A favourite stop on car trips. Beautiful view and still open during Covid 19.

Rum balls are the best in Denmark. It is convenient from E20 exit Middelfart. Fantastik store with lovely gifts.
