Falsled Kro, 1744 - Relais & Châteaux

It is tough to start and as well to make others understand why a hotel gets a certain rating.
For me food is important as well as wine and I enjoy good service. Of course a location is the frame work to all this.
When it comes to Falsled Kro the historical buildings and the beautiful garden is setting the right tone for sure but so far this is something a hotel owner can buy if there is enough money. The staff on the other hand is the link between good products, great food and wine and the surrounding the guests are in. To make it short I can’t remember the last time where everyone from the reception to the waiters to the chefs ( who you finally see at the table during service) were so welcoming, professional and well trained with the passion for what they are doing.
It is enough said about the menu and rooms already, but the staff working there is the real beauty of this place.

The perfect combination of incredible food, calm danish surroundings and a high quality of simply everything at Falsled. This place is highly worth my recommendation throughout all of the year.

Doesn't get much better than this, in all categories. Even if you are staying in Copenhagen, it's totally worth it to make your way there and stay a night. We have been there a few times, this time it was the "Signature Stay". The only possible negative thing to say about it, is that it's definitely not cheap; but you get what you pay for, in the positive sense of the term.

The only think i can say is wow and bravo!!!! To run a place like this you must really master food and hotellerie. Amazing hideout fantastic food service location. A memory forever. Thanks for the experience.

Amazing experience, the food was great and me and my family are picky about some of foods and they catered very well to our likes and dislikes.
We did wait almost an hour for our main course however as soon as we mentioned the long wait the staff quickly rectified the situation.
For dessert I ordered hot chocolate and it is the best hot chocolate I have ever had, perfect temperature, cream and smooth. I would highly recommend eating dinner here.
The one downside was that it was very hot as they were unable to open the doors (they were broken) and I do hope they fix that.
The room was lovely as well and the in room breakfast was sublime. We could not have asked for a better way to start our day. We will definitely be returning to this idyllic hotel.

This place is a real treat. Chef Per Hallundbaek is at the top of his game, and the dinner we had here at Falsled Kro easily equals, if not exceeds, those we have had at three-star restaurants around the world. The room we stayed in was charming and comfortable and the surroundings are very pleasant. In the parlance of Michelin, this is one of the rare places which really is "worth a trip".

Fantastic little hideaway in Funen! I'm amazed this place has yet to be awarded with a Michelin Star. The food is excellent, and quality consistent, the chefs are very talented in locating some of the area's finest ingredients. Treat yourself to a stay at this gem of an inn!

Charming place with excellent garden. Unfortunately during lunch time only cake and coffee were available, we were told that the place serve only full dinner menu. The cake dessert was delicious.

Great staff and location, the rooms are cosy and perfect. The restaurant are very high standart and the tasting + wine menu is Worth it.
