Excellent park on the Danish coast, it's a bit of a hike to get to the tower but the scenery is beautiful all the way up. Lots of parking is available but it's popular so it fills up fast, there are lots of campers too. The entry offers a public restroom which is stocked and clean. The walk up the tower is good, but there are a few steps that are in a state of disrepair so be careful. If you're traveling the Danish peninsula this is definitely worth the detour.

although I have flown many times, here I had such a fear when climbing the stairs, they don't seem very safe, but the view from the top is beautiful.

below there are some writings made of brick, someone with imagination exceeded the limit with🤍

besides the other beaches, there is a different kind of sand here, finer and cleaner, and a lot of it

in the parking lot some beautiful cows were quietly eating grass, and on the way to the tower, sheep filled the landscape and the plain

Super cool location. A 10-15min walk from the free parking. The view from the light house is amazing. Bring sunglasses or goggles if it’s windy because the sand will get you everywhere. The coastline is eroded and creates a cool pattern. The parking lot was full when we were there but not so many people at the light house.

This was such a fun place to visit. The views were so beautiful and the walk to and from the lighthouse were nice. The sheep were super cute but didn't want to come say hi. I'm definitely grateful that they decided to move the lighthouse a few years ago to preserve it from future erosion.

A wonderful location with an interesting story. Bear in mind you have to walk like a mile from the parking lot to the lighthouse, but very much worth the walk.

Rubjerg Knude Light House is one a the absolutely most see attractions in Norrh Jutland.

With free admission and parking this place offers magnificent views of the coat, the ocean and the now moved old light house.

The elevation makes it possible.to view both Løkken to the South and Lønstrup to the North.

If it's windy bring glasses and scarfs as the sand, even moderate wind speeds, can be rough.

Beautiful lighthouse on the dunes with an interesting backstory of having been moved inland by rails over 100 meter to protect it from the coastal erosion

Perfect Dune place with all the sand! The weather was not perfect but still very worth the visiting. At least it’s not so windy so it’s great to see everything. All the kids like it too walking on the sand and playing there. Could take at least one hour but easy to spend two. Highly recommend it!

Definitely worth a visit! We flew to Aalborg then took a bus to Hjørring to stay in a hotel. The Google map doesn’t work well in this area. It told us to take 75 but that’s not running regularly. Take 71 from the airport to Hjørring!
Most people probably drive there but we don’t have a car. Bus isn’t really practical but could still work. The closest bus station is at least 1km away and the bus 80 runs every hour.

Fascinating place, if you are in the area, it is an absolute must see. The mountain of silky sand and the views are mesmerising. Great fun for young and young at heart! There are free public toilets at the car park and a little shop with everything what you need for refreshment. For a little charge the tractor with a trailer can bring you directly there and then back if you feel like, and it is possible to pay with a card too. One tthe tractor trailer we had great fun and saw the local animals grazing. The walk on another hand, takes about 10-15 minutes and is also very relaxing. For those who are brave, there is a helicopter ride.

We have visited this place a few days ago. And we were impressed by its awesomeness! We went there with children, they liked it to. There were no many people, there were no wind. The landscapes are picturesque and amazing! You can go to the lighthouse on foot or take a bike. Also you get on the top of it. There was the most beautiful sunset that I have ever seen!

Amazing location! Best part it's free! The sand dunes are hard to walk up, but turns out there is a path going to the left and up. However, it's fun to climb the dune and get sand up with the sun don't shine :) just weird that they moved the place to save the history

Nice views of the old lighthouse in the middle of the sanddunes right by the sea. Don't only view the lighthouse, take a walk around and experience the impressive sanddunes and environment as well.

This amazing view with a historical lighthouse is around 15 min walk from the car park with good facilities (toilets, security, bike rent and taps to wash). You can either rent a free bike from the car park (refundable deposit upon return) or take a walk to the beach. The wind is really strong there, and potential sand blowing into your face, so it is beneficial to wear sunglasses or hoodie. You can walk up to the lighthouse to get even stronger wind blowing into your face, but make sure to go before the end of 2020 as it is when the lighthouse is expected to collapse or blown away into the ocean!

The walk and stay at the lighthouse that takes aprox. 1 hour. Magnifiscent views and breathtaking pictures are guaranteed! 😃 But... be sure to prepare your patience for sand everywhere and your soul for a sad fact and strugle of acceptance that the lighthouse might not be there anymore when you come back in about 40 years or so. The coast is being eaten by the nature in a pace of aprox. 2m per year, so don't hesitate and visit this place right away! 😍

Like a jewel to find along the beach. Against wind, sand in the face and a walk upwards to the lighthouse, but so worth it! You can go up in the lighthouse and have a panoramic view which is amazing.

Remarkable scenery. The lighthouse stands on sand dunes surrounded by forests. That's definitely not something you'd expect to find in country as Denmark.
However, it can get pretty windy so I strongly recommend at least a pair of sunglasses to protect your eyes from the sand.
