Had a great time. All the staff were really friendly and spoke great English so I didn't miss out on any of the experiences. Having the people dressed in period dress and carrying out period activities really brought the museum to life.

A little slice of the past amidst some beautiful surroundings. The volenteer workers are very kind, informative and passionate about the history. Well worth the visit

Very beautiful open air museum with a real insight of a true working Danish farm. The slaughter of the pig and skinning of the fox isn't for the faint hearted and can imagine some people have would be disturbed by this but you have to respect the cultural traditions and this was the way of survival in cold rural Denmark 🇩🇰

Visited only in summer with the staff dressed like then and showing skills...like the guy in the water mill producing flour. He was very happy to answer our questions. It's a huge area so wear sensible shoes. Outdoor to pick a sunny day

Lovely museum which I never experienced being crowded. The volunteers are world class in explaining of technologies to the kids and happy to demonstrate how the tools are used and how they translate to today's crafts.

A really nice museum. Prices are good and the steam train is a highlight. Would recommend it when you are on vacation in the area.

Super place with excellent and friendly staff/volunteers, all taking you back in time. Better than just a traditional walk around and look at exhibits, especially with kids

Worth a visit, especially when the museum is "alive" meaning that there will be a lot of actors illustrating what it would be like when the village were build

It is always nice to visit Hjerlhede Hede. Especially when they have people "living" in the museum showing how life was back in the days
