Danhostel Helsingør

Hostels are unsung heroes of European travel. Yes, it's a relatively basic hostel, but the down duvets and pillows feel luxurious, and the details of warm wood and fresh paint lend to a feel of Nordic luxury. We came in January, when it was cold and dark, and the room was warm and inviting. The breakfast was complete and filling, and the never ending coffee is a lifesaver! The kitchen meant we could cook for ourselves and only eat out occasionally, which is critical in an expensive country like Denmark! The Italian restaurant a block away was an unexpected stunner. The only challenge is being a bit of a walk away, which is rough in January rain, but absolutely lovely in spring or summer. Absolutely would recommend!

Lovely hostel, with a very warm and friendly welcome. Kids loved the games and (outside) the slack line and stilts! The view out the window at breakfast was fantastic. The room we had was simple, but very clean and well maintained. And only a 20min walk (including diversion to a small playground on route!) to the well recommended foodhall.

We were sent here from the camping around the corner because there were no space for tents. In the hostel we stayed in the garden with our tent (there were other tents as well, so I guess it is a common practice).

The location is perfect, there is a beach right in front of the house and you can walk all the way down to Helsingor. The facilities are nice and clean (the shower wasn't in the best condition, but still fine).

There are tables to dine inside and outside, they let you to have free coffee and tea all the day long.

Forget about the budget accommodation. Private beach with crystal clear water right outside your door. A short walk into the centre. Great and friendly staff. Just fantastic.

Amazing place. On the beach, cozy and clean. Not very big and nice staff. 100% recommend.

Fantastisk vandrehjem med venligt personale og gode faciliteter. Kan varmt anbefales til lejrskole, teambuilding og lignende.
Under mit ophold på stedet var der også en del rejsende, som tydeligt nød beliggenheden og de fine faciliteter.
Vil anbefale til alle der spørger.

Jeg elsker at komme dette sted. Joakim er dedikeret til hans arbejde som direktør af stedet. Han hygger om os gæster og er altid hjælpsom og smilende.
Beliggenheden er helt unik . Fælleskøkkenet er rent og indbydende. Tæt på by via sandstrand. Et sted jeg har været gæst på 5 gange og fortsat vil komme.

Helt fantastisk vandrerhjem, med lækker morgenmad og søde medarbejdere. Den fantastiske udsigt over Øresund og Sveriges kyst og den tætte beliggenhed på smukke Helsingør gør det til et fantastisk sted at overnatte. Værten Lord Nicolai kan få et smil frem på alle og han er udover det smukke Helsingør, en oplevelse værd.

Fantastisk placering! - personalet er nærværende og yder en utrolig god service.
Vandrerhjemmet er gammel men rent og pænt.
Jeg elsker dette sted.
