I was worried when I saw the crowd of people present, but was very pleasantly surprised with how quick and easy ordering was! (And how quickly we got our food and drinks).

The food was yummy, and the portion size was large. The price is a tad high, but I would say that about most of Copenhagen, and expect that from a museum cafe/restaurant.

Nice surprise ! I don’t understand why the ratings are so low. Price is good for Denmark, and the plates are big ! You’re not hungry after eating. The vegetarian toast is SO good ! Chicken was not my favorite, the salmon was very good, and I loved the pulled pork sandwich.
However, the coffee is really bad. But overall I do recommend the place !

We went in for a coffee, and were tempted by their breakfast of a roll and cheese. Later on in the day we went back in to warm ourselves with a delicious hot chocolate. The staff we very friendly and helpful.

I am not one for food near touristy locations but one also has to think that these locations try their best to also educate the people who come to the area to learn more about the past. Their food here are served in the sense of trying to replicate and use the same ingredients as used in the Viking age with a modern/contemporary view. I ordered the Viking stew and it was absolutely delicious. Regardless, if it was the same, the cafe boasts in using the same ingredients. The stew tasted amazing. I saw the quality as the same as higher quality restaurants. I was amazing. I saw this cafe more as a restaurant under the guise of a cafe. It definitely caught me surprised.

If you want the closest you can get to old-age Viking food. This is the place to go!

Good place to eat near the Vikings museum. The food is inspired in viking era (same ingredientes) so it's nice to complement the experience. Service is good as well.

great little cafe for a quick "god morgen" coffee and bread with cheese before sailing a viking ship with your crew.

also come back for lunch for more substantial sandwiches and fish and chips.

The fact that they researched enough to use the same ingredients as the Vikings is admirable and unseen at other museum cafes I've been to around the world

Wonderful cafe! We enjoyed a delicious lunch and a beer here while visiting the museum.
We split the Viking plate (with extra bread) and it was very good. Limited menu but everything looked yummy. Highly recommend!

Excellent and very original food. The cook's interpretation of viking food based on local food and other ingredients that were available to the vikings. I ate the flatbread with the beer braised pork. Delicious! Their rosebud ketchup that came with the kid's sausage was also a good surprise.
Give it a try.

The food was way better than expected. A lot of greens in the dishes. They have specialty beers but beware - some of them are quite special, like with strong asparagus taste. Would go again.

Good service! Nice and good food that they made the same as the Vikings would have made it. Same ingredients. If you come here than make sure that you also visit the Viking ship museum.

Eat a viking dish while getting rid of your kids who can build a boat in the mean time. So relaxing.
