Now this was a find! Inside a building that used to house the town's brandy producer is this fabulous place.

50 metres away from the train station, nd with around 160 local wines to try (you buy a pack of tokens - essentially one euro per token), and then wander off around the place (through the converted vats) armed with your glass to first read about the wine (info boards all in German), select a few to try, and then put in your token and get a 'shot' of the wine in your glass. (The wine is kept inside a refrigerated unit so it is just the right temperature).

Don't like that particular wine? Nothing lost. Like it? Make a note and buy a bottle!

Artwork from local artists is on the wall - so you can mooch as you taste. All of it is also for sale (100% goes to the artist too - a nice touch).

There is also a posh cafe inside the well stocked gift shop (that phrase does not do it justice, but I wanted to separate it from the fine dining restaurant that we were told is also in the building (we did not visit this)). The food is all locally produced (some home made) and is both plentiful and simply delightful.

Annette and her team are attentive and informative, and speak at least English, German, and Russian.

I've waffled on long enough. Just go. Enjoy the wine and stay for the food. We will be heading back for more. (Photos to follow).

If you are a wine lover, this is the amazing place you have to visit while in Rüdesheim am Rhein. The place has 100 plus wines form the area to taste. For 19 euros, you get 20 tokens to taste a variety of wines of your choice. Each tasting is one euro. It is a great way to spend 1-2 hours to taste the wines and get to know the winemaking in the area better. The lady staff was extremely friendly and guided us what to do.

We visit this establishment every chance we get when we come back to Weisbaden and we always bring friends and family with us to introduce them to this amazing experience of local wine tasting. The owner and her family are delightful and very accommodating. They make sure that their clients have a great experience and that's why we keep coming back. With over 150 bottles of wine to taste from, you will challenge your taste buds into finding your favorites to take a few bottles home. You will also find local food at their cafe if you leave enough time for a quick bite or a snack, and when the owner recommends something that she just made, try it!

A message for the owner: the chocolate covered ginger/dates cookies were amazing, I am so glad that we bought 8 more to take with us. Hard to imagine a simple 4 ingredient recipe can have such a powerful taste punch! Thank you for recommending them, until next time 😘

Rhein Wein Welt has become my new favourite spot. The staff are amazing and helpful and there are 160 different wines to try from, represented by 80 vineyards along the Rhein River. It is a relaxed atmosphere, yet you can enjoy yourself in any size group number. Best yet, if you enjoy the wine you can purchase the bottle right there. I will continue to bring new people to this fabulous venue.

If you have 2-3 hours to taste 👅 wines from Rheingau and Rhein around - this is you place! Also sell full battles - I’m my eyes best testing facility in Germany of this kind - recommended for all wine 🍷 fun’s, not only Riesling, but all sorts !!! Best

One of the coolest wine experiences I have ever had! It was a great way to try wine from throughout the region. We were just kicking off our trip through the Rhein and this helped us find a few wine producers that we would later go on to seek out on our trip. The signs are all in German so I could not really understand much but the taste is universal so it was still educational and enjoyable!

Really interesting experience - you can buy tokens and then go round different "cellar" rooms and taste any one of about 160 wines - 1 per token . Therefore I recommend to not try 160 . At the end we ate a light snack of local cheeses plus a glass of wine - very friendly staff, and well worth a visit.

This is an amazing place. Starting with the concept of tasting many local wines chosen by yourself from special fridges with taps to the amazing building with the tasting rooms being the old tanks used for the storage of Asbach Uralt in the past. The owners are very friendly and the service in the café/bar/shop is excellent.

Absolutely fantastic experience! I will be be recommending this to anyone who gets a chance. One of a kind wine tours! Wish we had more time! Wonderful people. Ask about the Jackpot!
