Campingplatz Schachenhorn

Really cool place! Affordable and great location directly on the lake. Restaurant is good and not overpriced. The "Pfahlhütten" aka stilted huts are cute and directly on a small beach with great views. All in a everything here pretty much what you need except no grocery stores on premises. A bicycle or car is recommended because it's a hike from the train station in Ludwigshafen.

Stayed for 5 days and over all it was great. They have pretty much everything you’d need - food, showers, bathrooms, washing machines and dryers (you can get washing capsule at reception).

Because I haven't camped on every campsite on the Bodensee I can only say this is probably the best on the Bodensee.

As a European Car Rally, we visit lots of campsites.
This is one of the best - What a fantastic Campsite. Marcel knew everything we needed to know and we pitched up on the side of Lake Constance. Such a stunning location, and in the morning, the view was spectacular.
Food was either traditional German or Thai. This was my first introduction to Thai food ... it was awesome.
Can't recommend this Campsite enough.

Good snack in a small restaurant "Sandbank" with a perfect view on the lake. The stuff is very friendly 👍

Bester Camping am Bodensee. Personal super freundlich. Super Lage am direkt am See, alles gut mit Fahrrad und Öffies erreichbar. Gute Stimmung und immer wieder gutes Unterhaltungsprogramm von verschiedenen Künstlern inclusive. Besser geht’s nicht

Einer der besten Campingplätze, die wir bislang besucht haben. Freundliche, kompetente Leute, alles sauber und ein gutes Frühstück am Kiosk, ebenso das Essen. Die Hütten sind ein Alleinstellungsmerkmal und erinnern an Flake aus Wicki und die starken Männer.

Sehr schöner klassischer Campingplatz! Das wird nicht reserviert, da fährt man einfach hin und dann wird man untergebracht. Das Personal ist nett und hilfsbereit. Die Plätze sind zwar eng, die Ausstattung nicht die Modernste: Dafür aber sehr fair im Preis. Wlan, Duschen, Abwasch, Waschmaschinen: Alles da. Hervorzuheben ist die vorbildliche Mülltrennung. Auch der Schnellimbiss auf dem Gelände ist gut und abwechslungsreich.
Wir kamen eigentlich nur für 2 Nächte, sind dann aber 7 Nächte geblieben. War eine tolle Zeit 👍

Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen.
Es gab etwas Wartezeit, da durch das Osterwochenende ziemlicher Andrang herrschte.
Trotz gut belegtem Platz waren die Sanitäranlagen jedoch immer sauber.
Leider hatten wir etwas Pech mit dem Wetter (Regen) am Abreisetag; für die Belegschaft jedoch kein Problem, sie haben uns aus der Wiese abgeschleppt.
Wir werden sicher wieder kommen.
