Bernhardhof Andechs

This was one of the few places open during Christmas Day, so I stumbled upon this by accident.

The atmosphere was very warm and cozy. The previous days I've had nothing but kebabs and McDonalds (only places open on the holidays...), so I knew it was time for a proper meal. Ordered the four course meal, uploaded translated menu and prices for reference.

I got there right 30 mins before the kitchen opened, but the nice waiter was quick to seat me down and offer me the drink menu. Do get the "andechser spezial hell". This is the wheat beer brewed right at the monastery, by the monks themselves. One of the best beers I've had on my trip

The 4 course meal was very decadent and delicious. Each dish had its own special flavor. I never thought I'd say I'd enjoy radish ice cream, but it was impeccable. The pork belly was crisp and full of flavor.

Pay no attention to the few bad reviews written in English on Google. You can only imagine what kind of insufferable slobs wrote those behind the keyboard. Place was amazing. It's only a shame I didn't get to try the whole Christmas goose

Newly built hotel and excellent facilities. 👌. The restaurant is highly recommended.

Just steps from the monastery. Very nice room with great kitchen. Very modern amenities.

Being so close to Andechs allowed me to take full advantage of the Brauerei.

Breakfast in morning was also very good. Highly recommend!!

The host was super friendly to us and could speak English. We had the veal schnitzel and cold beer from the Kloster which is just a short walk away.

Wonderful food, probably the best flavors of our trip so far. This is the baked goat cheese camembert.

Amazing food. Had Saibling and Zwiebelrostbraten. I will not eat at the Kloster any more when I am in the area.

Showed late, they still sat and served us wonderful food.

Had a great time . Very friendly staff and owner. The accommodation was great . Went to a great 60th party there . Highly recommended .

Mit Abstand das Beste was wir bislang erleben durften. Eine Suite die keine Wünsche offen lässt. Sehr schön eingerichtet mit dezenten Farben abgestimmt. Super Schlafkomfort. Die Größe der Suite ist kaum zu topen. Wirklich alles mit sehr viel Liebe eingerichtet. Das Essen im Restaurant, im Hause, vom Feinsten. Das Frühstück unfassbar reichhaltig. Das muss man erlebt haben. Und wir werden sicher wieder kommen. Danke für dieses schöne Ambiente, dem leckeren Essen und der herzlichen Gastfreundschaft.

Nach eines anfänglichen Missverständnisses (der Chef hielt mich für einen Trunkenbold der sich im nahegelegenen Kloster ein paar Maß gegönnt hatte. Mein Outfit war auch nicht standesgemäß ;-))
Als das geklärt war konnte ich platznehmen und mich zurück lehnen. Was mir dann geboten wurde übertrafen meine Erwartungen bei weitem. Das Bier aus dem nahegelegenen Kloster in dem Steingut Krug war perfekt. Dann reichte man mir selbst gebackenes Brot mit Bierbutter und dann kam noch eine kleine sehr leckere Gemüsesuppe. Der Hauptgang 2 echt große Stücke Wiener Schnitzel mit hauseigenen Kartoffelsalat was das beste war welches ich je gegessen habe. Ich war richtig satt! Der Gastwirt ist bayrisch derb aber sehr nett. Das Mädel im Service war echt höflich und zuvorkommend. Das alles war jeden Euro wert.

Einfach eine Top Lokation....angefangen von den geschmackvollen großzügigen Zimmern bis hin zum edlen Ambiente des Restaurants in dem man hervorragend essen kann.
Abgerundet wird alles Durch die herzlichen und freundlichen Besitzer sowie das zuvorkommende Personal.
Man fühlt sich als Gast willkommen und rundum wohl !
Eigentlich sind 5 🌟 als bewertung zu wenig und das liegt nicht nur am heiligen Berg der praktisch in der Nachbarschaft liegt.

Waren heut zum Vatertagspezial da! Krosse saftige Biohendl! Eisgekühlt des Andechser! Was will man mehr! Nette Leut, guter Service! Top gern wieder! 😁
