Campingplatz Hohensyburg

Perfect camping spot in the outskirts of Dortmund, close to the Ruhr. The reception lady was just wonderful and very helpful. She suggested we try a special spot on top of the camping. We weren't disappointed. What a great view ! We could see the neighboring castle from our tent ! The amenities were always clean. I highly recommend this camping 😊

Very nice camping in magnificent surroundings. Easy check in and check out. Fantastic new facilities with almost everything included (except washing machine and dryer). Recommendable!

Friendly staff. Modern clean facilities, 3+ minutes walk to tentpitch on grass plain atop of a hill. Showers have good temperature, water pressure and spread, but not possible for continuous flow, 20 seconds or less waterbursts. Would visit again.

The best toilet facilities we've seen on probably all of our travels in the last four years. Large field for camping but a little way from toilet facilities down a relatively steep unmade incline. Didn't try the on-site catering as it had shut at 1930. There maybe a second bar near the river, but we didn't venture that far. Very good and worth a visit

Really nice campsite. It's a bit of a pain to get to by bike as you have to cycle around to the north side of the site to get in, which is up a hill. The site is completely enclosed so there is no way to access it from the south side by the river without a key. You can get a key from reception which allows you to walk down to the beer garden by the river (which is separate from the campsite) but they do really good food and drinks in the beer garden so you should check that out. Camping is good value and the facilities are great.

Nice place to chill and Peter‘s Frikadellen, fries and Curry Wurst are superb. The Schnitzel with Hungarian sauce was particularly good.

Fantastic campsite! Beautiful location, excellent facilities, good price! I feel blessed to have this on my doorstep, i will come again with friends and family for sure!

Its very beautiful here. Many friendly people,Restaurants,you can go swimming or just play Soccer. Maybe you could also discover the Nature.

Dieser Campingplatz ist wirklich sehr schön gelegen. Die Dame an der Rezeption war super freundlich. Das Sanitärgebäude war quasi nagelneu, geheizt und extrem sauber.
Es war allerdings extrem glatt auf den Fahrwegen und wir mussten uns von einem Campingnachbarn mit dessen Allrad angetriebenen Auto den Wohnwagen vom Platz ziehen lassen. Ansonsten hätten wir nicht abreisen können. Es war am Sonntag und die Betreiber waren nicht zu erreichen. Diese extreme Wetterlage war sicher sehr selten und wir hätten uns diesbezüglich Hilfe gewünscht, in Form von verfügbarem Streusand z.B. .
Wir werden aber definitiv wiederkommen! Daher auch 5 🌟

Ik heb een enkele overnachting gehad op deze camping. Ik ging klimmen en de buurt en had alleen een camping voor overnachting nodig.

Er is gereserveerd via de website, slechts een paar een voor aankomst. We werden ontvangen door een zeer vriendelijke dame die voldoende Engels sprak.

Het veld voor tenten was in prima staat. Er waren schuine en rechte stukken. We konden makkelijk een plekje vinden op het rechte deel.

Ik was positief verrast door de sanitaire voorzieningen; deze waren ontzettend mooi. Ik heb ik nog nooit zulke schone sanitaire voorzieningen gezien op een camping.

Het enige nadeel is het omgevingsgeluid, vliegtuigen, helikopters en auto's zijn niet heel rustgevend.

Als ik weer in hetzelfde gebied ga klimmen, dan heb ik zeker de voorkeur voor deze camping!
