We visited on a weekend in April. Allow about 1-2 hours to have a good walk around. Signs are in German, French, and English.

I cannot believe that this place was free!

It is a very nice wolves Park in the heart of Merzig forest. Kudos to the crew who takes care of the animals. I recommend going there early, before the family and Noisy kids to increase the chance to see the wolves. We just did not see the timberwolves but we're lucky enough to see all the other species. Entrance is free but one can make a donation!!

It was a first Sunday of the month, so we came for the free tour. We knew that tour will be only in German, and this was a 1st time I regretted to not knowing German. Frau Tatiana had a 30 min cool info about wolves at the first point and then another 15 min at every other stop. She interacted with wolves and fed them chicken. It was amazing to see how friendly wolves are in here. Really lovely experience, even we had pouring rain on us all this time.
At the end don't forget to stop by the souvenir store where you can buy cup, magnets, key chain, shirts or hoodie, calendar or book with a photos of local wolves.
Truly magic experience seeing wolves. Thank you Frau Tatiana.

It was a lovely experience and the wolves are so beautiful. You can visit the whole place in almost an hour but if you're not there when they're getting fed, then there's a chance of not seeing all of them cause they might be sleep somewhere far. You can also easily get there from bahnhof.

Wolf park Werner freund is good place for family where has 7 group separate place, easier to see wild animal and read post on wolf habits and life. Total watching time takes around 1hour for seeing wolf's as well as there are a few huge forest for taking walk taking a few km. Entrance is free. Your child can get wolf masks paper at the office of entrance. Nearby, restaurant for having cool beer.

Really interesting place to visit. Sometimes hard to spot wolves there as the 'cages' are really big. On first sunday of the month you can attend feeding, where you can see feeding from close and ask questions. Entrance to the park is free. There is parking nearby so access is easy

Free wolves park. Great value for... no money. Has wolves of 5 different parts of the world. Sighted four. Tip: take your binoculars with you and walk quietly through the small park. Small shop and a snack and drink tent in the vicinity.

Perfect! Bring binoculars and be silent. You'll be rewarded. Note that the wolves are conditioned to the Jeep of the care taker. Respect to the owners and care takers!! Thank you.

Great place to take your kids. Nice woodsy area and of course the wolves are out and about to see. Our son loved the feeding time as, of course, all the wolves show up when the dinner bell rings. We will definitely go back.

Very interesting experience to go there. Best time is to go there in the morning during Autumn it's the best time you'll most likely see some animals.

Very sympathetic effort and free access though a cash donation is appreciated. Nice to have a closer look at the different kinds wolves! A hiking route of a couple of hours starts/ends here and is very much worth the effort

Lovely wooded park. We saw many wolves and they seemed happy with large areas to roam and avoid people.

Unique place with lots of knowledge about these creatures. It's a small park, publicly funded and dependant on your voluntary contributions, so please donate some Euros into the small wooden box when you enter.
Also please do NOT bring your dog, the wolves react quite intensely to them and visitors dogs that had been intentionally released to "play" with the wolves through the fence are the reason why the packs had to broken up.
The result of those careless and mindless human, dumb acts is that natural behaviour of wolve packs can no longer be observed now.
It's still woth the visit, especially when you are able to listen the free talks about the wolves which are being held regularly on sundays or when the animals are being fed and checked 3 times a day.
