Panoramarestaurant Bastei

We made a reservation a day before and our table by the window was waiting for us. A very nice restaurant with stunning views of river Elbe. Very good food. We enjoyed the mushroom soup a lot, as well as schnitzel, goulash and gnocchi. Impeccable service. Highly recommended

Amazing experience. I will say we had the best seats in the room overlooking the river. I loved every bit of my lunch and especially the Apfelstrudel. It's really worth a visit. Don't forget to make a reservation.

The view is just spectacular and the atmosphere feels very high end. The food was also delicious. I enjoyed the steak burger a lot.

A restaurant that serves really good foods with the astonishing panoramic view of the Bastei Bridge and surroundings. But for the tables next to the windows or for the panoramic view please do not forget to make the reservation in advance.

UPD: This time everything was delicious - carpaccio, meat soup, tenderloin medallions and duck. One strange thing was mickey-mouse plate. It was delicious but nothing with mickey mouse was served, even as adult I was surprised. Maybe it is so-called meal, but not what I was expecting.

Old review: The view is amazing and the food was good, but nothing special. Main accent is the location where you can sit, eat and enjoy the panoramic view.

It's a masterpiece. Best Panorama view which is all natural.
Mountains, Elbe river , fields and bastei rock formations.
With all these cherry on top is the food . Best tasty food .
Service is awesome and welcoming.

The food was delicious. A kind waitress pointed me to the cheapest per amount meal (I like to budget travel). The price was more than what I like to pay but not bad and it was worth it.

The service staff was warm and friendly,especially our waitress K Rennert ever ready to cater to our requests. The place is tucked in a scenic mountain with a perfect scenery to immerse yourself in while enjoying a perfectly prepared meal.

We’re offered the window seats with a very nice view of the river. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The dishes - beef fillet and sea bass - are delicious.

4-Course Candlelight dinner

We’ve dined three evenings at the Panoramarestaurant Bastei while staying at the hotel across.
The food is very good, the presentation is classic and the quantity abundant but not excessive. The views from the large windows are absolutely breathtaking. Prices are reasonable, great value for money.
Out of the dishes I’ve tried, the sea bass was the best: very good and with many tasty vegetables.
Though the menu isn’t restrained, having dined there several times I would have appreciated some more salad options. I would also suggest to risk a little more with the daily menu —the kitchen staff is skilled and can surely prepare a selection of less conventional dishes, just to vary.
Nice selection of wines by the glass.
The service is outstanding: Ms. T. Knöfel was extremely professional and has a genuine tendency to anticipate the guests’ needs. Such a gifted professional is an uncommonly valuable asset to this restaurant, and could easily work in a 5 star hotel.
I can only recommend this restaurant and I look forward to visit it again.

Had 3 lovely dinners here while staying at hotel. Each meal was delicious and good serving size. Staff were very friendly and helpful even though we couldn't speak much German.

A variety of dishes, both Saxon and international can be served at the restaurant. The panorama to the river Elbe, seen from above, is an easy way to admire the water flow. Sächsische Schweiz is a beautiful place in Sachsen.

View is good. Staff is nice. Make sure you come during main hours or menu is limited.

Edited: the staff realized I was upset and promptly took care of me. Very pleased with their attentiveness.
