Had a wonderful birthday dinner at Schönemann this evening. We originally booked Bidlabu but the restaurant called to cancel due to the weather today. Whilst walking home slightly disappointed, my husband suggested trying out Schönemann as we always wanted to try anyway. Mr Moritz really made our day, he was very friendly and helpful and recommended wine to pair with our main dish. We really enjoyed the food and the experience despite the rain. In the end we realised that the restaurant is Sofitel’s hotel restaurant, no wonderful why the quality of food and service is high!

Hello, one of the main reasons I enjoy going to Frankfurt is the kindness and warm welcome of the staff at the restaurants there. The food is perfectly suited to my taste, as I follow a gluten-free and vegan diet. They are very helpful in this regard, and I would like to extend my gratitude to them once again through this message. I see it as a suitable place for people with celiac disease, like myself.

An absolutely great restaurant on Opernplatz. The visit is a dream from beginning.

The restaurant is very modern, bright and elegantly furnished. It is very inviting and you immediately feel very comfortable. The outdoor area is also beautiful.

When you enter the restaurant, you are greeted in a very friendly manner and shown to your table. The food and wine list is brought to you very quickly.

The selection of food and wine is great. There really is something for everyone on the menu.

The service is very attentive and is at the table at the right moment to take your order or to fulfil a wish.

The food is always absolutely delicious and beautifully presented, simply wonderful.

For the price offered, you get great service, great quality food and drinks.

I can only recommend everyone to try it out, you won't be disappointed.

Excellent service from our server Qi - who provided great suggestions for dining & drinking. His service makes me want to come back to this restaurant again next time I’m in Frankfurt with my clients. Perfect for a business lunch, classic, elegant and (for an Austrian at heart) serving a really tasty Wiener Schnitzel! Thanks again Qi and Schönemann Team, honestly couldn’t have asked for a better way to end the week before a long flight!

Very much a recommended place for a neat and quick business meal near the Alte Oper in Frankfurt. Staff very courteous, restaurant quite upscale but still not burning a hole in the pocket. Also recommended for the veg options there. Very much a flavour burst you wouldn't mind having when eating their courses.

Very nice place, which is a bit hidden and not so crowded like the other places around, so you have more discretion. You sit very comfortable, it feels like sitting in a couch. I enjoyed the view at the opera. The food and service was very good. Also a very good option for breakfast (e.g. egg benedict is perfect here).

One of the best restaurants in Frankfurt and great treatment by the waiter Faisal who has made us have a great evening. To repeat without a doubt.
