Trausnitz Castle

Walking up the path to the castle from town in about 10-15 minutes. It’s steep but has a paved path. Very nice views from on top, with a restaurant. If you drive up there’s a parking lot. There’s also a WC in the courtyard. Didn’t do a tour, but they have one. The castle was founded in 1204 by Duke Ludwig l. The castle and its views are a highlight while visiting Landshut.

A beautiful old castle on the hill above Landshut with a great history and views. Worth the visit of only just for the outside. There's a big park too

Nice place with super cool panoramic view . Lots of to learn in the museum and highly recommend to go early as possible so you can spend time there properly

Nice tour of the castle. They had an English pamphlet to follow along. Massive park around the castle with trails and kids play area.

It's a good spot to have a look at nature from the top.
There's a little hike to the castle.
Good spot to watch the sunset as well. There's a church on top and there are no entry tickets.

It takes about 10 to 13mins by foot from Altstadt to get to the Burg Trausnitz. Beautiful scenery of Landshut from the top of the castle and a garden.

Originally built in 1205, the original seat of Bavaria. The grounds alone are worth the stroll

Insanely beautiful place, starts with the walk from the parking lot through a park and then into the castle area. Highly recommended.

Not easy to find with the car when you would try to find signs but Google maps can guide you :-)

They have a nice restaurant in the castle (build in 1204) where you also can sit outside and have a great view over the city Landshut.

It’s a beautiful city with a historical center and many different beautiful shops.

Nice castle with nice gardens. The inside of the castle is worth a visit. In the first section of the tour there is a very interesting exposition with a lot of very interesting old objects. The entrance fee is pretty cheap, around 5 euros.

You can wander around on your own, it's beautiful scenery. It was $ 5 euro to see the museum. I could not do the tour because I didn't book it on advance. The tour is only in German.

Beautiful and well-kept castle on a hill above the city. For free you can visit the courtyard or you can walk around in the park and enjoy an amazing views of the historic center of Landshut. The tour of the interior is only in German, but there are texts in other languages. When you go by car, follow the signs in the city !!! Address of the castle in navigation led to the tunnel under the castle.

A vast and well taken cared Castle on a hill over looking Landshut. We visited during Christmas and had a private tour of the castle. The gentleman tour guide was well informed about the castle. The tour was in German only and I got a lamented sheet with English information to each room which was a nice gesture. Gorgeous architecture, rooms, interiors and view. The ticket office / shop was great. Bought a few books. There is also a restaurant on the property. Highly recommend.

There was castle tour on 15.30 (2.11.2023) and lady guide was awsome. Castle is so so beautiful. We will come again.

Great view on the city and surroundings. Several minor exhibitions in the caste. Restaurant with a nice shady Terrasse.. Easy to step up the stairs.

A place which I must bring my family to spend the lovely sunset am gorgeous foods especially dessert. But it's difficult to find the enteriance by driving via google map
