I will strongly recommend if you are nearby Atta Cave to visit it. It is not free but a few is required and the cost is reasonable ( I believe). You cannot take pictures inside the cave and I find it difficult to describe it but the line and the rock formation is amazingly unbelievable. We had a guide who spoke English and he was very helpful especially I who do not understand or speak any German. You can download an app and listen to the English commentary but for my android phone it was not working so I was glad my guide spoke good English. The lime rock formation is unthinkable. The curtains formed by lime and rocks are something to be looked at. I found this establishment worthy to be looked into. Don't miss it. If you parked your car in the car park, you will get a token so you don't have to pay 3 euro for parking

That's an awesome place to visit for everyone who enjoys caves. Longest cave in Germany that features all possible stone formations. It is very easy to visit with a well build route through the cave. While they had to break some stone formations when making the cave accessibly, they still did a good job preserving the rest of the cave. The surrounding area of the Sauerland is also pleasant to visit with many beautiful sights.

Beautiful! It is a time travel thousend years back to the past. Many stairs, but worth. Parking is easy, there is a nice parking lot close to the cave.

One of the biggest caves in Germany! It has numerous stalagmites and stalactites and fascinating to see with experienced tour guides and special lighting. It has a constant temperature and is moist. You have to be able to go up and down a lot of steps but there are railings almost everywhere.

Perfect place to discover. You will be really surprised while walking around here. The temperature inside is always 9 degrees. It's pretty cold outside. Thanks to our guide, we got very good information thanks to the special structures inside. Unfortunately, taking photos inside is prohibited. You should definitely see this structure, which has been shaped by thousands of years of formations. After tour, you should eat something in restaurant where located out of the cave.

Stunning cave, absolutely beautiful - perhaps one of the most amazing caves we have seen yet. Tour has steps, but not too many and the tour is not hard on the legs. Worth a visit.

Impressive! Camera is not allowed inside. The ground is quite wet but there are railings to hold on to.

Cool place for families and kids. Very well maintained cave with funny and interactive guides. The tour lasts about 40 mins. Wear proper footwear as it could be slippery at some places. The gift shop was a bit pricy but loads of cool stuff available to buy

No English tour unless you have an old phone, but the cave was amazing and didn't need any explanations.

Great guided tour of app. 1km. Only in German though, but comprehensive. Easy to walk, also for children. It involves some stairs and uphill climbing, so not wheelchair accessible. Make sure you wear good shoes and warm clothing.

It was interesting, for kids also. We had to wait 10-15 min for a group of people to gather, and then we had approx. 40 minutes excursion. Guide spoked german. There is stable temperature and high humidity inside, sometimes there were puddles on the way. But stalactites /stalagmites look impressive. Unfortunately, making photos is forbidden. There is paid car parking nearby at hotel or free parking near Lidl little bit further

A great half day out. Caves have some stunning geology. Only German guides are available but you can down load an app in English that gives you a running commentary as you move through the labyrinth.

Beautiful cave with very nice formations. You can park right across the road from it. We only had to wait 5-10 minutes before our tour started. Well worth the visit!

We much enjoyed the visit. The tour is about 40 minutes which was perfect. There was a little store with local cheese, wine and souvenirs. There are many stairs during the tour, keep that in mind!

Worth going. Pitty you can't take pictures because you have nothing to share on facebook. Would be good advertising for them. Staff are lovely. No need for extra jacket, temperature 9°c, no need for walking shoes. Walk way tiled and safe.

Interesting and beautiful formations. In times of Corona with a mask can be tricky due to limited sight of your feet. (Glasses fog up more than outside due to humidity)

Worth a visit. Guided tour takes around 45 minutes and the cave itself is spectacular.
