Hotel ISG Heidelberg

Very nice hotel in a remote area, so no city noise :)
We had 2 bedroom apartment with a huge terrace. All clean, some kitchen appliances available. The apartment (as the hotel) makes a bit old fashion impression though... Some refurbishment wouldn't be needless)))

One of the best places to stay. Rooms are nice, staff is cooperative, hotel has nice restaurant. Rooms have balcony. I enjoyed my stay overall

Convenient place to stay in the vicinity to EMBL. Very friendly and attentive staff. The rooms could use a touch up - but this is merely aesthetics - comfort was excellent.

It’s a bit away, around 25 minutes by public transport from the central station. But the facilities, stuffs and breakfast was great. There is a balcony with almost all the rooms that will add an extra comfort during the summer :)

The location is kinda out of downtown but close to the Embl. In case you wanna go downtown, some planning will be needed.

The staff is very kind and helpful. Check in was smooth.

The room was clean and well equipped with a water kettle and sachets of tea and coffee. And also free bottled water. The beds were nice but kinda narrow. Could be broader. The pillows were not the best but can be managed.

The toilet was clean and sufficient.

Breakfast room was very well organized and worth the price.

Although it is far from the Heidelberg Hauptbahnhof central train station, it is easy to get there by a local bus.

The room was very comfortable. The balcony allowed to take a breath and look at the surrounding landscape. The bed was very comfortable too.

the cleanliness of the room, bathroom and the entire hotel was impeccable.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. In addition all the services offered by the hotel worked very well.

The breakfast was varied, of free choice and most importantly, very tasty everything.

The food was excellent and delicious.

The conference area was spacious, optimal and had everything required for its use.

I was in ISG hotel for attending an EMBL course; the hotel is at a perfect location to commute to EMBL. It is a little far from downtown Heidelberg. The surroundings are quiet and the hotel staff is very helpful and kind.

Amazing place to stay especially if you are attending a EMBO-EMBL conference. Good food. A short walk will take you to the amazing wilderness. COVID testing center is right at the parking lot and is open till 14.00 hrs.

Friendly staff. Clean. Cool Bauhaus style. Easy to get to Heidelberg. We went there by car.

Great place to stay when you are visiting EMBL/EMBO for a meeting. Quite professional and it has nice restaurant & shuttle services

Good quiet location, friendly multilingual staff. Clean quiet room. Good breakfast. Parking place. Not far from the city. I recommend this hotel to stay.

I stayed at this hotel in connection with a visit to one of the residents of the nearby Augustinum carehome, which could not offer guest accomodation. The price for the single room was very reasonable, considering that it was large room with a very comfortable bed. I appreciated the modern feel and the excellent clean conditions of the room, not to mention that it was very quiet and the balcony offered a wonderful view as well. Pity that I needed only one night, but I will definitely stay there again on my next visit to the Augustinum.

The hotel staff is wonderful. They helped us recover our lost luggage, gave us directions to every place we wanted to go, helped with shopping, etc. The food is very good in the restaurant and the waitstaff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable. We had a very enjoyable stay at ISG.

Excellent value if you are staying in the Heidelberg area or a guest at EMBL. 3 bus stops within 1 minute of walking from the hotel, making it easy to get downtown, to the laboratory, or HBF. Best breakfast of any hotel I stayed in Germany. 24 hour check-in is very helpful when your train or plane arrives late. My room had a balcony and it was very nice in the mornings or evenings. I couldn't find a speck of dirt anywhere in the bathroom, and they provided nice seltzer water upon check-in. The room also had an electric kettle for tea. Bed was comfortable. The whole hotel has a retro vibe. Compliments to Nathalie at reception.

If you are American, some things you might want to know are that there are plenty of outlets (bring a type E/F, I bought mine off Amazon), bring your own toiletries (there's nice 3-in-1 provided in the shower, but you'll want your own), the shower is one of the largest I've had in German hotels, there's a towel-heater in the bathroom, and the tap water is fine to drink. The reception staff are helpful, don't be afraid to ask questions if you need anything at all. You can also order delivery to the hotel if you're hungry, jetlagged, and the hotel restaurant is closed (aka past 11 pm, and most everything in Germany closes by 6-8 pm).

Enjoyed the stay a lot. Clean and spacious rooms, good Wifi and tasty breakfast made my stay really worthwhile. The hotel is a bit outside of Heidelberg, but thereby nature is just outside the hotel.
There is also a playground close to do some Freeletics ;-)

Nice and comfortable hotel. The staff are helpful, and the beer garden is also great! Plenty of facilities and conveniently located near a bus stop. Bathrooms are modern and clean, and balconies are spacious.

The hotel is excellentl! Great location with convenient shuttle service to and from EMBL; helpful staff; tasty breakfast with lots of options. The rooms were clean and well maintained. Overall I had a wonderful experience.

Great hotel situated in very picturesque location. Staff is very nice and helpful. Rooms are pleasant and clean. Hotel has also a very nice beer garden, perfect for evening chill out ;) I highly recommend this hotel.
