Such a memorable place, and I don't know if it was my tiredness and hunger or the restaurant was really great, but I enjoyed the food there so much. It was something so warm, made with love, like your German grandma cooking for you (never had a German grandma, but this is how I imagine it would be like). Beer was okay, but nothing special, especially for Germany.
I enjoyed the nice Medieval times style of the interior, but the only downside of my visit to Christoffel was the fact that all my clothes smelled like fried pork and were not wearable before washing.

I stumbled upon this place by chance. This place should get more credit. Medieval themed rustic place with simple, hearty and good food. Loved the ambience and service.

A very atmospheric restaurant. We ordered pork knuckle and fried chicken with champignons, the food was very tasty. The only thing that is inconvenient: there are less space inside, I mean there are a lot of seats and tables, but little space between them, the chairs are very close to other chairs and the waiters have no place to go (this is inside the restaurant), so sometimes they have to push through the customers, and sometimes it is difficult for the customers themselves to get through. And I wish the drinks also had a description of the ingredients. And yes, the staff is very friendly. Anyway, I want to go there again ☺

Wonderful if you are brave enough to to off piste. No English spoken and menus, well, huge and in German. Dont miss it if poss.

Don't usually do 5 stars but this was a delight. We stumbled across this place . A medieval style banquet room in the cellar and good vegetarian choices. The food was delicious and the atmosphere good.

Even from outside restaurant looked appealing. So we went in.
We didn't regret anything.
The waitress we got was very friendly. We got grill meat turkey and the pork ribs. Most delicious turkey I ever had.
The atmosphere is medieval and very friendly and super nice.
I very recommend to try their honey beer. Blonde or dark doesn't matter.
They accept the cards, speak English. There's nothing we can complain to and we're looking forward to return.

Super cute restaurant, and the food was amazing! The kiddos had half a chicken each with fries, we had unlimited ribs and piglet in gravy with mashed potatoes, beer and 3 waters for 51€

Although the place was crowded (almost 100% seats occupied) the waiters were really fast and efficient.
The kitchen was also amazing. I asked for the "Gemüse Strudel" and it was really good. It comes with a side tasty salad.
The rest of the people I was with asked for meat and the appearance was really good.
The atmosphere was cool (as in Middle Age movies), it would have been good if we had been able to see a performance while having dinner...maybe next time😄

Pleasent experience. Very tender meat, light but excellent marinade. Try the Met! It is for sure quite special.

Great medieval restaurant which catches the flair of the old times of Erfurt. Like expected from the middle age big hearty meals on big tables with closely seats. Also a great selection of vegetarian meals.

Medival tavern gives you the opportunity to partially get beck to medival times 🤨 You have the option to eat with bare hands 🙃
The ribs, ham and chicken with cabbage was top 🍗🍖🥩

Excellent tavern that you should not miss if you ever find yourself in Erfurt. Immersive scroll menus, great food, live bagpipes, extremely satisfying. Would visit again!

Huge food portions on an average prices.
And everything was so delicious!
Just a warning: one dish could be enough for 2 people.
