We had such a nice afternoon accompanied by coffee and some sweets. The waiter was excellent, we had the menu in English and the portions are BIG! Definitely try the crapes when you go there you'll be impressed. 😍
Everything seemed freshly baked and the coffee was really good, 100% worth it!

Great choice and pastry shop in downtown Passau. We came in for coffee, but saw the gingerbread which was also amazing!

Perfect stop for lunch. They recommended the Quiche Lorraine with salad. Yum. Excellent salad with varied veggies and a tangy vinaigrette. Our food was served piping hot, and they gave me still water with ice cubes.
We sat inside, which was lovely, but we're sad we missed the outdoor terrace which was even lovelier. Next time! They serve wine and beer, too.

Excellent service. Quaint atmosphere. Flavorful hot chocolate. Good assortment to the menu. We didn't eat there.

The best ever Eszterházy cake I have had in my life! I would highly recommend the café for anyone that is passing through Passau. It was definitely a win for us, the staff were friendly and very polite, the cakes delicious (coming from a person who is not too fond of cakes) and the hot chocolate in the cold season is a must try. 5 stars all the way!

Wonderful place! Best ever ice cream and cakes! Finally, a place where you are not served over sweet products. Really great. And hats off to the waitresses and staff! Such a pressure and they still have time and energy for a smile and kindness. Absolutely recommended!

We had lunch here. I had the Schnitzel Kartoffel and my husband had the Currywurst with pommes. Both big meals and very tasty. One of the cheapest meals we had, so value for money as well.
We sat outside and watched the world go by and it is a nice relaxing spot.
The lady who served us was lovely and very efficient too.

A must for anyone visiting Passau Cafe Simon is a family run bakery that opened in 1903 and now with a Cafe, with a further two further generations coming into the business. We had a Gingerbread demonstration by Simon with a history of the different styles and tasting three types using Honey, Molasses and Sugar beat as the sweetener, we had not thought the flavour could change so much. Simon is also renowned for his Punsch which works so well with the Gingerbread. They also make freshly filled chocolates & chocolate bars, as well as roasted nuts.

Nice cafe with a wide range of cakes etc. Good efficient staff as well. Coffee was very tasty.

A very cosy and quaint place. The ambiance made you feel warm and welcome. The cakes were absolutely delicious and the hot chocolate to die for. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is in the area. Just a warning, it can be pretty packed at times, but the turnover is pretty quick so you can just stick around and hopefully a table opens up quickly as it's a pity if you don't get to try their delicious pastries.

After walking around the city, this is a great place to stop in and recharge your battery with some coffee and cake. You will not be disappointed with any of the sweet treats they offer but I do recommend the Cheesecake (Käsekuchen). Also the coffee is remarkable.
