Amazing food. Worth a drive. The business lunch is great value. The service lady was a tad cold but we didn't let that spoil our experience. Will be back for sure 😊

The place is perfect. Nice and clean rooms with pool and a gym with basic equipments but would do the job for a few days. The breakfast comes with a large choice. But the best thing there is the restaurant. The 7 plates menu will make you travel Very nice

Creative, delicious and beautifully presented menu. Great way to celebrate a special occasion. Throughly enjoyed our dinner at Michelin starred Eckert restaurant. Chef Flavio Fermi created excellent menu with locally sourced ingredients. All items tasted incredible. We paired our food with excellent wines from the region. The waitstaff were all very courteous and efficient. Highly recommended this place, suitable for a celebratory dinner or an intimate date night.

Our third time here and now are go to en-route from England to Italy. The owner and staff are very helpful. We had the most fabulous meal. The service is excellent and the quality of produce first class. They made sure I could charge my car.
Our room was a little warm but we could have got out of bed to open a window! Very clean and comfortable. Nespresso available in entrance.

The rooms are very comfortable, well-equipped and come at a reasonable price. If you have a car to drive to the city center, the location is fine. Staff is super friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed my stay.
In terms of improvements, I would recommend to place Nespresso machines in all of the rooms and to get some new pillows 👍🏼 otherwise, keep up the good work

Although the building was old, the facility was very clean and well designed and organized. Super friendly staff made my stay very pleasant and they looked happy on their own, too. Seeing them smile among themselves made me smile, too.
The breakfast for 15€ was also quite satisfying and free parking was also a plus.
Quite outskirt location might not be perfect for business but was so for me

We were visiting our friend in Basel, so Das Eckert was the best option for a stay. It was just 10min drive to Basel center. Plus the hotel has a free parking. The room was clean and average for a 4 star hotel. The staff was very friendly. We will consider staying there again for our next visit.

My husband and I booked the Hotel Eckert for a one night stay on our way to the airport in Basel Switzerland where we were to take a transatlantic cruise out of Copenhagen. Upon arriving at the hotel my husband had a stroke and we went to the hospital in Lorrach where he stayed for 11 days. I was in a foreign country where I did not speak the language alone and panicked. The employees at the hotel took care of me like I was family. I stayed there 12 days. The sweetest kindest people I have ever encountered. The hotel is a small boutique hotel with a heated outdoor pool and very well appointed rooms. The staff made sure I had water and food and helped me with transportation, laundry and translation. Evelyn was my guardian angel but everyone was a delight. I could not have gotten through this ithout their help. My husband made a miraculous recovery thanks to the German Drs and nurses. Our last night we celebrated with a wonderful meal in their Michelin rated restaurant and we are now home in the USA. Leslie Gully

Very imaginative menu inspired by high quality local ingredients with a lovely twists of subtle Asian influence. Highly recommended tasting menu.

Fantastic place not only because of rooms and stylish finishes. The best part is their crew - very open, nice, helpful, English speaking. Fantastic meals and great people in Eckert. I recommend to everybody who needs a calm and nice place to stay. :)

We had a big bedroom for the 4 of us (including a baby), nicely decorated and quiet. The breakfast was delicious ! The staff was really nice!

Great hotel, lovely staff, clean room, and amazing breakfast. In short, we will absolutely come back.

We had the six course tasting menu, which were actually nine and ab smaller wine series (4), which was just perfect.
Not a lot of a la carte, but you can choose the number of plates of the menu.

Fantastic cozy & updated room. Breakfast is fantastic and the hosts were very friendly. I can without hesitation recommend this hotel!
