This is a great restaurant with an attached brewery. Their beer selection is varied, but they do run out of some options. Not to worry, they will have plenty alternatives. Their beer book really illustrates their commitment to brewing, detailing history, process, types and taste profiles.
The food is also really good. I had a burger from the special menu and the meat was juicy on a ginormous bun that was able to keep its shape. The sweet potato had good crunch and an excellent taste. We rounded it up with their apple crumble and a seasonal dessert with peanut butter. Both were great. I highly recommend this place and will be back

Perfect ambience, quality beers, friendly staff. Worth a visit, just 15 minutes from downtown. If available the Rum barrel aged imperial stout is a musttry!

This is the newest of Bamberg's many breweries and though a bit out of the center (actually in the Gaustadt), it's quite popular with the locals. To accomplish that in a beer Mecca like Bamberg says a lot about this place. I was skeptical but it's really good. I'd had about five different bock beers on the way there at various breweries, including Schlenkerla's Eiche and the Hoppy Jack here held its own. At 8%, it was stronger (and hoppier) than all the rest and had a very clean finish. The flatbread was huge and tasty. Think there's another regular stop in Bamberg.

I saw Erlkoeng while out walking. This place is a new start up in the Bamberg brewery scene. How do you compete with hundreds of years of beer brewing knowledge. Do Craft brew! Add a nice flat bread and salad. If you are in Bamberg for a beir sabbatical add this place to your tour. By Bamberg standards they are doing things a little different here. They had a hopped up version of a typical European lager, an American Pale Ale, a smoked beer with chocolate malts, and a Black IPA. They also had a Keute, made with oats- which is not a beir according to German law. There Keute is a nod to the Cologne Kolsch and it's long history. They make some great beer and it is well worth the stop.

Great food, nice atmosphere and for a traditional beer town like Bamberg, a nice change of pace with many different styles of beer!

Friendly staff! I got a recommendation for a sweet wine, and it was amazing (although I am not a wine connoisseur). I got a chicken sautéed dish with a lot of vegetables, and it was one of the best things I've ever eaten. I would go again in a heartbeat.

Excellent staff and service. American pale ale is my go to beer but their ebony smoke beer pairs well with the pulled pork burger. For dessert try the brownie with their coffee Stout.

Great place with really fine beer

One of the only places that I've found that serves Hoppy beers like IPA. Good food, good beers and good customer service. I've got lot of tips of what to do in the city. Really nice place, pretty confy

Yeahhhh bin ich froh, dass die Volkpark- Crew dieses tolle Lokal übernommen hat! Das Sylvestermenü war der Hammer und preislich echt ok!! Freu mich riesig!!!

Sehr schönes Ambiente. Das Essen ist durchaus empfehlenswert. Ich hatte gebackene Portobello Pilze mit Kartoffelsalat.
