We had a great time, everything was very tasty. Service was 5/5!
If you want to try the national German cuisine, you should definitely come here :)
Portions are not so big, for 2 people you have to order 4-5 different dishes but the prices are really good!
We will definitely come here again!

Great little tavern a bit hidden on a side street away from the Altstadt. Theme is a German "tapas-style" menu with a unique twist on some common regional dishes. An extensive beer list from Fischer's Brauhaus a few towns away in Mössingen. Delicious traditional styles vom fass and some more unique and seasonal beers available in flasche. Quite busy on a Saturday afternoon with a mix of locals and tourists ranging all age groups. Staff are young, friendly, and helpful. A cozy interior with some outdoor seating and it was so busy that some brave folks were sitting outside enjoying a drink on a grey December day.

My first experience with real German food! Super nice and overall I am very happy. There were a few dishes I thought were a bit weird like the ham salad, besides that everything was great.

The zucchini croquettes were amazing, the schnitzel was very crispy and also had a very nice sauce. The chicken in the gravy was equally nice, and then the last dish I forgot what was, but I really like it too as well as the soup in the bottom. The whole idea of German food in small tapas form is so nice, then you get a little taste of everything. Super good idea.

Atmosphere with the outdoor seating is wonderful and I just felt very satisfied and happy. Great food! Can definitely recommend it.

Very surprised by this place. Super nice relaxed vibe. Staff do acknowledge you quick and are very friendly. The menu was in German so the lady who worked there was super kind to explain the options and recommended us a few dishes. Food was delicious. It’s a must visit.

Nice place I found wandering around in Tubingen. I really liked the concept of “german tapas”. Beer was great, needless to say. All the waiters were smiley and kind kids from the area who were particularly supportive with me since I do not speak good enough German to carry out a conversation. The place was cozy and food was ok. Prices absolutely fair. Will come back for sure!

A combination of greek mezes or Spanish Tapas in a Traditional German cuisine. Bubaspitzle and Maultaschen worth a try. A really nice place. A reservation required

We had a lovely evening trying the different tapas style local cuisine dishes.
The portions were too little to be get to full but for the price more than reasonable.
They introduced some spicy cocktail with a little legend on them.
Mine was a little on the low side of the alcohol scale but refreshing.
All in all i would deffinitely recommend it.

Neat place in a quieter part of town with small but delicious dishes. The dumplings are tasty but small. So make sure to order more than one plate.

Bären is one of the best restaurants in Tübingen for great cocktails and German food. The food portions are served in tapas style, so we can try so many varieties. I have eaten spatzles from different places in Tü, Bären has the best ones. The bratkartofel is also good. In general all food is tasty and not so pricy. The ambiance is so cool for relieving from all work day stress and partying with friends. Cocktails are the best part of this place. Moscule mule is a definite try.

The staff is very friendly, the beers are really good and the food is typical. The "Käsespätzle" was the best I tried in Germany so far, really tasty.

Very cozy place to get a drink. The drinks are unique and worth a shot! Warning, if you want to play Rummikub you need to bring a light because the lighting isn't made for the game. Besides that, it's a great place to have a drink with friends or your partner.

We had a brunch twice here, both times were great 👍🏻 delicious food, many options, big portions and friendly staff.
We have tried: Veggie fried pan with eggs, Avocado toast, rote Beete Salad and Käse Spätzle 😋
Definitely will be back.

Great student-vibe place with small chunks of delicious German food. Try the Maultaschen, they are excellent here! The beer is noteworthy as well.

Gives you a perfect impression of the highlights of the swabian cuisine! Tasty and inexpensive meals (especially amazing for groups as you get to taste a large variety), great cocktails in a nicely designed space.

Very nice place in Tübingen's old town. The food comes in small portions, so you can try different things. The Käsespätzle were particularly good. Service is quite fast.

Cozy restaurant, nice vibes. The service was quick and price reasonable.
The food was really good (especially the Knödel) and inside there was a nice buzz.
The only downside is that the menu is only in German...
