Great exhibit for young kids. A lot of interactions the kids can learn from.

There was no special exhibit today so entry was free.

Great place to take the family on a Sunday. We got there early around 10:15 and it was still quite empty.

Even though for some reason the bell rang indicating we had to leave the museum. The first floor was quite interesting with facts about animals and plants that they kept as specimens. Furthermore, Museum was completely interactive. You were able to hear the sound of different birds, smell some plants through some sort of pumping with hands, read the history of the area, and facts related to floral and fauna and their interactions with each other.

Really enjoyed visiting this museum. There are many exhibits you can touch or smell, or play with, so I'd say it would be perfect for kids, but as adults we had fun as well ))

Very nice museum with a lot of stuff to do, see and learn. Our kids had a lot of fun. Additionally is free entrance as well as free parking (something not normal nowadays). The only negative thing is that everything is just in German, so if you still don't speak the language, you will not understand many stuff, but anyway a recommend place to visit

Absolutely fantastic, we went with our children and now we're going with our grandchildren. Everything is highly interactive and very interesting even for adults. Absolutely well worth the visit

Nice place to be, especially with kids (>2 years). They have a really nice coffee area. Enough place and tables to chill with a hot drink and perhaps a hot waffle with toppings.

Very nice collection of minerals and prehistoric findings of wildlife and plants. Educational programmes for children. Simply a great place for the young ones to learn something about the environment they live in and about the history of our blue planet

The museum has been renovated, fire protection and HVAC. The permanent exhibition has been modernized and redesigned. New scientific findings are incorporated and the exhibition is regionalized.
In the foreground is no longer the systematics of the animal kingdom, but the ecological orientation (habitats and biological relationships).
Earth history: Focus on geological ages in Dortmund.
The original showcase exhibition is supplemented by computer terminals, acoustics and games.
