Helfenburk u Bavorova

Brilliant castle. Really big one. Nice way through a forest full of giant ant nests. Suitable for kiddie carts.

Amazing place, kid-family friendly. Kids don't pay under 6. Free parking with a 10-minute-walk till the entrance. On the way you can see huge ant nests. They have toys for the little ones right after you enter the ruins. It's possible to get drinks and even some snacks for normal prices. There's a tower with a great view of the surroundings. Half-day trip.

Large and beautiful ruins of a Gothic castle, it is worth a visit in all seasons. Castle tower is offering beautiful views of the countryside. There is also possibility to sleep there in your own sleeping bag for reasonable price.

One of the biggest old castles and it's really amazing. You will definitely enjoy the view on the Sumava mountains once you are on the tower on the castle.

Interesting place and well looked after. Some activities too + refreshments. Quite a walk from the carpark so good footwear is recommended.

My favorite castle, great disposition. Typical style for age of emperor Charles IV. Many interesting details and great lookouttower.

Moc hezky udržovaná zřícenina, milá paní co prodává lístky (80Kč dospělý), nádherný výhled z věže a navíc do areálu mohou i psi. Z parkoviště je pohodlná asfaltová cesta okolo 1km, většinou lesem, do mírného kopce, takže žádný složitý výstup.
