Znojmo underground

We went on a guided tour and the guy who led it was very knowledgeable and funny as well. We learned a lot about Znojmo's history, it was defintiely time well spent.

The only issue is that although you can buy tickets online, the information on the website is not correct - we tried to buy tickets and there were none available for the time we selected, but when we went to the cash office (to try our luck) there were still a few tickets available.

A very interesting place with three types of tours. We chose the easiest route

Definitely worth a visit. The classic tour takes one hour, it is 750 meters long with some stairs and some low ceilings. A guide takes you down to the catacombs, people who do nit understand Czech get an audio guide. The tour was very informative and the guide had many funny stories and legends about the underground. Tickets were 130 czk per person.

Funny guide and interesting experience! For good price, suitable even for little kids. For wine lovers, possibility to buy a glass of wine in the middle of the tour! :)

Did the "classic" route. It wasn't very long or photogenic, but the tour guide made it very interesting with all the backstories and legends. Guide only spoke Czech though, foreigners recevied headphones with audio guides and did the tour along with the Czech speaking guide (this was in January, so maybe it's different in high season).

The adrenaline tour sounds more interesting (currently unavailable)

Did track 1 with the kids. They were a bit scared in places. The wine mid track was very welcome. Good audio guide for English. Looking forward to trying the more difficult tracks when the kids are a bit bigger

The tour guide for active level 1 really likes his job and spent with us two and half hours which is half an hour more. He explained everything clearly. I will definitely do it again.

Really good guide, the classic way was really good for kids and seniors too. Adrenaline way was little more dangerous, but still really good. I would like to go again ❤

You can choose 2 types of the tour: Normal or Adrenaline one. The latter has 3 levels depending of its difficulty: Easy, Medium and Hard where the hardest one contains walking in the water with the head light only - all in the dark.

You will have a very nice experience. But be aware reservation need. It's always a guided tour.

Worth the visit! You find out more about Znojmo and its history. I never had a bad tour guide. They are all funny and informative 👍🏻

Znojmo is a must-see place. Not too many tourists (unlike Praha) and will exceed your expectations. Definitely recommended.
