From the outside the hotel reminds us of the past, but on the inside, it is a completely different story. Very modern and comfortable rooms and the views (!) are just pure gold. Service is amazing, the breakfast and dinner were delicious, wellness and spa with great ambiente even in the pool with dozens of kids running around, thai massages available, great kids room, animation programme for kids.. and the location offers a wide range of amazing walks in the surroundings (Lucni Bouda or even Smezka are just few kilometers far).

Pity we stayed only for the weekend. Will definitely come back!

We loved to stay in the hotel. It has a great location and perfect facilities for family stay. The food was delicious and variable, the room nice, tidy, spacious with a fantastic view to the mountains. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
The whirlpool is a bit tight for this amount of guests but the baby pool is very much appreciated.

Probably one of the most luxurious hotels visited. The rooms are spacious, the bathroom is perfect, and from the balcony you have the best view in the entire resort. The food is great, very diverse, the hotel staff very friendly and kind. The hotel has all possible facilities, ski equipment can be rented within the hotel. The staff in the restaurant is incredibly professional, services of the highest quality. The spa area is large, has a big Whirpool, the sauna is well equipped and everything is always clean. The only minus, which was really unpleasant, was that you don't have a quiet room in the spa area, the screams of the children in the pool will not give you peace, it's a constant echo. As a recommendation, you could close the area on the left where the sunbeds are with glass doors, and so with a small investment you will also have a quiet room. The Thai massage is truly Thai, two employees from Thailand will give you the best possible massage, the price is a little high but it's worth it. Overall excellent.

This place is just so magical!
It was renovated 3 years ago, and you can feel it in every corner of this hotel.
The wellness area is great, the breakfast is amazing and the staff were super helpful. My partner is vegan and they really helped in providing her the best vegan food especially for her.
Highly recommended!

The hotel exceeded my expectations. I loved that there was option to include not only breakfast but also dinner in the package. The wellness area is amazing! Just being in the jacuzzi with that Mountain View was magical. The massages were great; the room was well equipped and had great views, the premium sauna was super beautiful, food was great and I even loved the location, even if it was a little bit far away from the town center, it was worth it due to the amazing views that other hotels in the center don’t have.

Regarding the service, I had 2 very different experiences with employees. In the good side, the employees working in the restaurant are very friendly and helpful. Martin was a highlight for me, he was polite, kind and professional. He even learned a few spanish words when I told him where I am from and was greeting me in spanish every day for breakfast and dinner; so those little things make a big difference for us customers. I felt very welcome. :)

Unfortunately the only downside was regarding one of the ladies working in the bar (the blonde one)- she didn’t seem to enjoy her job. No smiling, no greetings. She was actually literally rolling her eyes every time I went for a new cocktail. She even made some sounds like communicating that she was tired or something. Like 😑”ughh”… Made me feel a bit uncomfortable a couple of times. So I tried to avoid her and ask other bartenders but sometimes I had no option. Also the receptionists are not so friendly by phone (maybe because they’re busy) - but they are friendly and helpful when you are in front of them at the reception desk.

Other that that, everything was perfect. As I mentioned before, my expectations were exceeded. I recommended this hotel to all my friends already and will definitely be back! :)

The hotel staff was friendly and SUPER accommodating.

The restaurant, outside seating, and wellness center all have a great view of the mountains. The wellness center Jacuzzi is hotter than in most hotels in the Czech Republic (their board said 34 C / 93.2 F but it was probably around 36 C / 96.8 F), the pool had about 28 C / 82.4 F. The premises are clean. Rooms are a bit on the smaller side but modern, have a safe and small fridge, and offer a selection of teas and coffees. Wellness slippers and a robe are provided, so is eco/organic body/hair shampoo and conditioner (from Botanicus).

The hotel (situated cca 2 km / 1.2 miles from the town Špindlerův Mlýn, the distance is dependent on if you take the road or trail) is in the mountains and surrounded by hiking trails. There's a bus that goes to/from the town/hotel (you get on/off right in front of the hotel entrance), although the service hours are somewhat limited (6AM - 4PM / 6:00-16:00h) but taxi services are available if you don't want to hike up to the hotel after a day of hiking elsewhere.

We paid for half board which was perfect (since we spent the day outside and typically got lunch in restaurants you find along the hiking trails). Both breakfast and dinner are buffet style and have plenty of choices, including vegetarian options. They even have a note that you can pack some food items from breakfast (to take with you as a snack for the day trip) which is not common (most restaurants don't allow this). The few pastries and pieces of fruit we took definitely came handy after hiking 15+ km!

Overall we had a great stay at the Hotel Horal and will be back to Horal or one of the other Orea hotels!

There are so many things to highlight. First of all the people as they're creating your experience. In every singular part of this hotel staff is extremely friendly and helpful. This is a big achievement when it comes to people management. For sure management does a great job. I can not find any obstacles to give them less than 5 stars. Even elevators working fast :) PS. Lady is responsible for reservation is the nicest one I have ever met!

We were very satisfied with a hotel room that provide us with beautiful sightseeing from the balcony. Also, hotel breakfast and dinners were excellent. We also enjoyed staying in your SPA and we appreciate playroom for kids where we spent some time during our stay. We will return soon if the prices will be acceptable for us :-) because in reservation system are prices really different.

Stayed one night and absolutely enjoyed everything: helpful staff, wellness area (if you’re sauna lover I’d recommend visiting business sauna), restaurant for both dinner and breakfast. The view from the room is stunning, the mountains are beautiful.

Very nice place. Do not let dissapoint yourself by the communist-like look of the exterior of the building - once inside, it is completely renovated and very modern. I like the proportion of the wooden material all around the hotel. Nice restaurants, kind receptionists and very clean.
