Kappl Sanctuary of the Holy Trinity

Absolutely stunning piece of architecture. The triple dome design with a circular antechamber produce an effect of infinite space. While one dome houses the main altar, the other two are also spectacular. The decoration is rich and detailed, I recom picking up the guide for 2,5 €.

Attended a wedding of a protestant with a catholic and the church was cool with that. A major plus.
Now, I would have preferred if the lovely dog of the bride was allowed in, too, as she was the purest soul in the party and dogs are way better at believing stuff than humans - they even chase a ball you never threw!
But the church is lovely and the painted marble details are very convincing.

Must see monument! Tha chapel is absolutely stunning and in a nice location. Beautiful architecture, the chapel is surrounded by big old linden trees (Czech national tree) - you will get nice photos there. Big parking place even for a bus, nearby some restaurant/cafe.

Very impressive place and view around the country. Best at the time when no tourists are around. Combine the visit with Loreta on the Czech side of the (once upon the time) border.

Wunderschöne Kirche, traumhaft gelegen und eine außergewöhnliche Architektur. Äußerst sehenswert!

Krásně udržovaný kostel s obrazy kolem dokola, v hlavní budově je nádherný oltář a varhany, pěkné, navštívíme určitě někdy znovu.

Krásné poutní místo, nedaleko od hranic. Stojí se zde v tehle uspěchané době aspoň na chvíli zastavit. Kostel vás odmění krásou a klidem.

Sehr schöne Kirche. An Wochentagen kann man sie oft ganz für sich allein bestaunen und einen Moment der inneren Einkehr finden.

Die wunderschöne und einzigartige Wallfahrtskirche zur Heiligsten Dreifaltigkeit ist eine der Hauptsehenswürdig-keiten des Stiftslandes und eines der Wahrzeichen des Oberpfälzer Waldes. Der barocke Rundbau wurde 1685 bis 1689 erbaut. Drei Rund-chöre, drei Seitenkapellen, drei Altäre und drei große und kleine Zwiebeltürme versinnbildlichen die Dreifaltigkeit. Zudem thront die Kirche über drei Gebirgen: Fichtelgebirge, Oberpfälzer Wald und Böhmerwald. Wer sich in dieser Ecke der Republik aufhält, sollte unbedingt in Kappl vorbeischauen, es lohnt sich. Neben der Kirche befindet sich ein nettes Gasthaus mit einem kleinen Biergarten, wo man nach dem Besuch der Kirche ausspannen und eine Stärkung zu sich nehmen kann.

Man fährt den Berg hinauf und dann sieht man Sie. Die Kappl und meint man weilt in Russland. Ein Besuch lohnt sich auf jeden Fall
