Veveří Castle

We took a boat from the Brno dam and it was really nice, note: they only accept cash for the entrance fee.

I like it because you have nice restaurants and places to buy food and drinks this far from the city. Additionally, the exhibition and historic tour is interesting.

Beautiful and old historic castle, free parking available, the entrance ticket cost is 30 Czech Republic 🇨🇿. Inside is cafe , restaurant and some small shops located. Rest rooms (toilet) available. The palace is old and not more visitors there, so, if you don’t like noise places than it’s best place for you. Enjoy at old and historical place. Recommended if you are traveling through Brno city.

Lovely castle worth taking the boat to to enhance the experience. Note entry is CASH only. Winston is good for a refreshing drink. Well worth a visit.

Wonderfully located castle with an interesting guided tour inside the apartments

Really great walk up to this castle. Nice to go around in the towers, on the wall passages, in the yards. They have nice cafes to relax. Entry fee is not too expensive (30CZK for adult). If you want to go in the exhibitions, you will need to pay extra. Beautiful views from the top. I would recommend to arrive to this castle by boat. Amazing ride.

Great spot even for a family visit. 50CZK entry fee. Considering how devastated this place was it is a miracle where it is now. You can drive all along the dam and park under the castle walls or you can walk the trail on the opposite side. It takes about one hour from the Sokolské koupaliště. Worthy visiting!

Very beautiful castle surrounded by fascinating nature not far from Brno. There is an accessible road directly to the castle or you can choose to come by boat.
I came here with my family during the weekend and we had such a nice time here. Definitely recommend it!

The most interesting and cool castle to visit around Brno. The ticket to visit is very cheap and you can enter basically everywhere. Do not miss the fix exposition inside the mais building, it is for free and tells the history of the family that built it.
Also, you can enjoy a nice beer and wine with some good options of food, also quite cheap.
Another suggestion is to go up the north walls as well as seeing it from outside. Is feels like you are in a medieval RPG or something like that.

Really nice place for a day trip. Tends to be a little touristy. Lovely views, chill atmosphere. Food is overpriced. But you don't come here to eat, do you? Don't miss the boat trip back to Brno for more fantastic places to see.

Low admission fee, great castle with a nice scenery view. Mini-exposition of various coaches. Did not get a chance to try the guided tour but next time definitely will.

Veveri Castle is very nice place to visit. Nice view from the tower. The entrance is 50kc and it's very cheap.😍🇨🇿🇪🇺

On a hot day the ferry ride up to the castle is a beautiful way to arrive, the castle is undergoing renovations and is quite huge
A stop at the courtyard little restaurant to enjoy local food, beer or sweets a must!

I was there three time and each visit was a bit diferent. In spite of sad history of this castle when it was used by wehrmacht during the IIww and during the communist regime as a high school, it is more and more reconstructed and with each my visit nicer. I can recommend both castle circuits. Unforgettable is an amazing view from the terace to the Svratka river with the bridge and hills around. For coming here you can take a bike, car or public transport from Brno - boat.

Veveri Castle was really pretty! You can get great photos of the castle and from the castle if you climb to the different look outs. The courtyard is nice and shady and you can get beer, refreshments, and food for fairly inexpensive prices. The bathroom was clean. I believe Veveri Castle has festivals and special events throughout the year so be sure to research it! Watch your head as you walk through the castle and if you don't love tight spiral staircases, learn to love them! It's very fun and if you have time in Brno, I would recommend considering going!

Cool castle but make sure you have 50 Czech króna in cash per person otherwise you cannot enter!

My favorite place . beautiful nature, cozy place, incredible castle, beautiful park.

Nice place, worth the visit for the price. Also you can grab the food and drink in the facilities inside and there is also toilet available.
