Točník Castle

Tocnik Castle has mostly been left in ruins. Necessary paths, bridges and supports have been added. You are able to explore on your own or with a guide.

Great Castle looks beautiful, didn't go inside but looked okay. You have a nice 950 meter hike before you get there. But when you get there you get to pet cats and look at bears. Wouldn't recommend petting the bears but you do you :)

The castle itself has got some history. Even though it isn't that big or popular the main structure is still surprisingly standing. A big plus is the fact that when entering you are given a small brochure with all the facts about the place.

Beautiful castle from the middle of the 13th century. The ruins of the castle are in good condition, being possible to visit some rooms. There is no guided tour, however when you buy the ticket you receive the explanation on a paper (available in English).

You can leave the car on a parking place (50CZK) and walk around 1.5km till the castle.

The ticket for adult cost 150 CZK.

Well saved ruins of the castle that was built during the reign of Wenceslaus IV at the end of the 14th century above the already existing castle Žebrák as his private residence. Entrance fee is 110 CZK. Do not miss a couple of bears under the entrance bridge

This castle is great. Even though it look like a ruin it still has it’s magic. I have been coming here since I was a little boy and believe me that I never get tired of this place. There is a beautiful nature around the castle. If you get on the right place in the castle there is a beautiful view on the city nearby. And this place is not just a castle they also have huge place with living bears. So it is really beautiful out there. I highly recommend.

Great history, we were allowed in even on closed day. However the parking attendant was happy to charge a fee knowing that it is closed.

Nice ancient castle. It's worth visiting. This place is very quiet with an amazing surrounding. It gives you a breathtaking view of nearby places. I recommend visiting.

Notable historical heritage site, close to Prague, worth visiting over the weekends.

It's impressive. It's not too renovated but still allowing to imagine lots about the original use, since it's in pretty good shape. The entry fee is moderate (~90,-CZK) and includes either a guided tour or you make your own. The nice thing is, that every corner of the castle is accessible, which differs this castle from most others.
Also it's not too crowded there.

Beautiful place to visit.

Way to climb up to here was quite steep. Great nature surround by with many animals you might bump into. I could even see a boar digging ground. Bear cage is under the gate bridge. Castle was bigger than thought and easily hear bats communicating inside the castle

Good trip for weekend.. wonderful nature around.. experience the old ruins of hrad and also the underground chilling rooms.. location was used for classic movies as well... Although entry fees is needed, highly recommend to go in...

Nice medieval castle, with amazing view to all sides around. They have also bears there. Refreshment at castle either.
