Authentic Czech Republic food, all done to a very high standard and excellent value for money! If you want to try genuine local cuisine you'll be hard pressed to do better. And the beer is outstandingly clean 👌

We visited this traditional restaurant for lunch on a Sunday. Got there a little bit before opening times so we had a short stroll around the block. 10 minutes after they opened the place was already almost full. Ordered beers and food and waited an hour to eat, but it totally worth it.
We had perfectly cooked Meaty Pork Ribs served with mustard and horseradish, delicious Duck Leg Confit with cooked pickled cabbage and homemade dumplings, a side salad with freshly cut tomato, cucumber, bell pepper, red onion and vinaigrette dressing. What we liked the most was their Beefsteak tartar served with buttery fried bread and garlic to rub your slices of bread. Experienced and attentive waiters.
A must visit if you like restaurants with character and want to try local food while in Brno!

Brno's hidden gem! The ribs at this restaurant are simply outstanding, some of the best I've ever tasted. The tender meat practically falls off the bone, complemented by a perfect balance of smokiness and sweetness. The texture is divine, melting in your mouth with every bite. Generous portions and friendly staff make the dining experience even more enjoyable. Don't miss out on these unforgettable ribs when in Brno!

I was looking for somewhere off the beaten track with a traditional style. This place fitted the bill perfectly. Having never been to the Czech Republic before let alone Brno, I found the fronts of bars and restaurants a bit weird .This one is no different, it’s like going through someone’s front door. I was here for work so I just wanted somewhere that did local food and boy did I find it! I asked for a beer and was served half a pint with half a pint of head, but it soon settled and it was delicious. The server spoke great English and really helped me out. The starter was called Čabajkovou klobásu I think, a delicious smoked sausage with mustard, some sort of cabbage? and some marinated chillies. This was right up my street and a superb start to the meal. Main course I had Svickova (?) which was a slice of beef, beautifully pink in the middle yet so tender I could pull it apart, some unbelievably light bread, similar to a bao bun, a delicious dumpling and some sort of amazing gravy. Honestly it was one of the tastiest meals I’ve ever eaten. If you’re in Brno I would 100% recommend it. Don’t expect music or any frills, but be prepared to have your taste buds tantalised!!! Oh, and finish it off with a peach schnapps 😎

A true Austro-Hungarian style restaurant. Wiener schnitzel with potato salad was amazing! 😊 Pilsner beer was also great. 🍺 We were satisfied with halusky as well. The service was very polite, but they do not speak English. 👨‍💼 Higher prices 🤑 - but we did not mind as the food was yummy 😋 Lunch menus are also tasty.

Tafelspitz was good as well (boiled beef in broth, served with a mix of minced apples and horseradish, and fried potatoes ).

But Wiener schnitzel was the best! 🤗 I can reccomend you that meal. Everyone loves it. That it just the way it is. 😃

Very traditional decoration in this restaurant and I got homy feeling. Plus the food was soooo tasty. If you happened to come to Brno plan to visit here. I came around 1.30 pm and their oxtail soup was sold out, so I assumed it must be very delish.

Ambient is so authentic, perfectly preserved wooden interior with all details, very clean and pleasant. Lady who served us is an owner as well. She speaks very well English and is very pleasant. Food was extraordinary! Real specialties of mid-continental Europe. Liquid apetizer was Pilsner-Urquel from a tap and 6-days marinated local cheese that was delicious. Main course was one of 3 suggested daily lunch dishes, deer gulash, phenomenal! Desert was as well great, local specialty on the second photo with plum jam, with digestives as plum whiskey well known as šljivovica and pear whiskey, kruškovica. Highly recommend and we’ll be back. Prices were very reasonable, too. All this for 40 euros.

Deliscious traditional food, super nice bartender and waiters, and lovely atmosphere. We definitely will come back to Brno to visit this restaurant again.

After having this classic Czech meal in 3 different restaurants over 3 nights, this one was the best quality. Smallest size, though. Within 10 Czk of the other two (middle). I'd come back.

Cozy atmosphere, nice interior, the waitress is a real character, and the food excellent. The potato dumplings dessert with plum jam and poppy seeds is a must.

Best Tafelspitz, served in traditional style with soup, special and yummy fried potatos, horseradish grated with apple, and cold sauce. Totally recommend to try 😄

Traditional Czech/Austrian home made cuisine. We were very pleased by the service and the quality of the food. We had the “Svíčková” and “Hovězí krk”. Both delicious. We will certainly come back again.

Best beer in Brno, together with Blahovka. Food also way up there.

The food selection is not huge, but that's how you recognize a sweet restaurant. Had a steak tartate and pork ribs, both really tasty! Staff is friendly and the atmosphere is good.

So Czech place with tasteful places and quality draft beer. I suggest it undoubtely for someone who want to eat in old-school Moravian atmosphere. To feel like an old Kometa fan. Dekuji dear Libo and others guys !
