Castle Kokorin

Breathtaking castle and views! Absolutely loved my visit, and would highly recommend it. Nice staff, and a cute little gift shop.

However... it's quite an uphill hike to get here, and is full of many steep staircases, and so you should be in ok shape with ok mobility if you want to come here.

How to reach Hrad Kokorin?
Take a Bus or Train from Prague to Melnik,
Then take a Bus from Melnik to Village Kokorin 474 Bus No.
You can also take Breakfast or coffee Break in Village Kokorin.
From there 30-40 mins Hike
You will reach Hrad Kokorin
They have 120 CZK TICKET to visit the Hrad.

Very nice castle. easy to get by public transport. Something like 1h away from Prague.

Very nice castle which is in good condition. You can pay 100 czech koruna fee for the tour. They don't do it in English but they have printed text you can read about the castle. You can climb up on the top of the tower, it is a gorgeous view around the forest.
They have birds like ravens and falcons which you can take pictures with.

Had an amazing time in Prague and decided to explore some places outside of the city. Was lucky to have family that knew where to go and wasn’t disappointed.

Entry was cheap and parking next to nothing.

The walk from the car park was long and up a steep road and up a ton of stairs but worth it in the end.

The castle itself isn’t huge but the view from the top was lovely. Lots of walks and beautiful countryside and lakes in the surrounding area.

If you’re there it’s worth a visit.

It's a little castle but really nice. You will need to do a short hike climbing the rock so you can follow the raod or go through the stairs (this is the hard part 😧) lots of trees and nature. It's a family place but keep your eyes on the little ones. If you are visiting the area I would recommend to visit this castle.

Parking is 100 Kc. Walk up a steep set of stairs, and there is the castle. Can partially walk around it, but full access to tower and building is 120 Kc. Open every day, despite what Google says.

We went on a snowy day and it was an absolute delight, the castle itself was closed, but the area is easily accessible for a hike by car and walk from the Kokorin village centre, the views are a lovely getaway from the city

Very small but charming with history behind castle. The surroundings are beautiful to walk and and enjoy nature and....caves. If you are collector of turistic labels you can buy a few in the dhop in the Kokorin castle. Great place for a family wandering.

Cosy place with guided tours. Caste is from 14th century however almost completely rebuild in the beginning of 20th century by new owners. Today castle is private owned by Spacek's family which had rebuild it.

Wasn't open when we got there (weekday out of season). Nonetheless a beautiful place. The castle is amazing and the surrounding area is amazing for hikes and walks.

Great view, but staff doesn't seem to care if you walk straight past the ticket booth...

A unique place for walking. Mountains of rock on which you can climb. Quiet place for walking with loved ones. Were in the spring. Everything is blooming. Perfectly. Near the magic castle. Good place to go all day long. Thank.

I suggest take a hike around before going to the Castle. It really pays off.

The castle is nice, small and very cozy. There are several restaurants and parking lots in the close vicinity.

Very pretty castle in a beautiful forest area. Hidden among the trees, you have to do a small hike to get there. I recommend taking the guided tour for 150 crowns to be able to get to the castle's fortification. Really a nice place to visit. Parking was 100 crowns for a normal car for the full day.

Beutiful castle and the forest. Parking for a day costs 100 korun. You go around castle for free and can buy ticket to go up the hight tower or have guided excursion.
Many pathes around the forest for tracking. Near the parking there is a hotel and restaurant.

Great area for hiking and nice view point at another side of the Kokořinski důl

Nice surrounding, nice views. Beautiful winding access road. If you don't feel comfy with physical activities, watch out for the steps leading to the castle, can be pretty exhausting
