Verde Smart Eating

Stopped here for breakfast upon recommendation, and I’m so glad we did! The food was absolutely incredible; it was easily one of my top 10 breakfasts I’ve ever had. You could tell that the bread was made that morning, and the fruit was some of the freshest I’ve had here in Hermosa. The atmosphere was very clean and well decorated. Playa hermosa needed a place like this, 10/10 recommend!!

This restaurant offers delicious food made with fresh ingredients. You can choose to sit inside or outside, and there's easy parking. The place is clean, and the staff are really friendly. We love it so much that we will continue to return for great meals during our visit.

Two minutes from the beach, this cafe is a nice surprise. Serving interesting and healthy food selection in a clean modern setting. Service was good but a bit slow.

Verde is a great place for clean fresh food. We come here every morning for breakfast. The food is excellent!

We found Verde Smart Eating rather by accident, but are already thinking we may come again! Clean and comfortable with an interesting menu. Fresh and delicious. We especially enjoyed the flavorful sweet chili tuna bowl, where the tuna and pineapple flavors were a delight to the palate. Right on the main drag with parking right in front.

We went here for dinner and really enjoyed our dining experience! The chicken teriyaki wrap was delicious. Jean Carlos was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable, I LOVED the flan that he recommended!

Verde Smart Eating has an all over fresh feel to it starting with the artwork. You will feel at ease immediately and will want to come back to try more of their dishes. It is a great place to come for breakfast, lunch and an early dinner as well as for cold pressed juices, coffee and wholesome pastries.

Great good ethics (non-plastic straws, no added sugar in batidos naturales, glasses water bottles). Great ambiance and friendly wait staff.

I got the eggs Benedict with salmon and they were so delicious! One of the best eggs Benedict I’ve had in Costa Rica so far! The atmosphere is super cute and the staff very friendly. I wish I could stay and see how the bar half of the restaurant turns out once that part is open.

This was some of the best we I’ve ever had, everyone at our table loved what they ordered. The ingredients were fresh, the food was delicious and the presentation was amazing.

Excellent breakfast and smoothies, and we even got dinner here too. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Would have come back more if we stayed in the area longer, but will definitely be visiting again the next time we're in Playa Hermosa.

This is a hidden gem in Playa Hermosa. The food is crazy good and very reasonably priced. We had the bell pepper chicken stuffed with spinach and red peppers and covered in a delicious red bell pepper cream sauce. It was accompanied by a mix of sauteed carrots, and zucchini thinly sliced length-wise with cherry tomatoes.
We also ordered the blackened tuna wrap served with crazy addictive fried casava chips.
The blackened tuna was dusted with a Cajun spice and cooked rare as it should be. The spinach wrap was nicely stuffed with lettuce and other veges and served with a piquant chipotle dressing. So yummy and very filling.
The decor is fresh and clean and brand new. The restaurant only opened recently. The dinner menu will be expanded and hopefully the hours will too. It closes at 7pm.
The server is Jean Carlos, a sweet young man that has his heart in the right place when it comes to serving good food. And the chef Lewis, truly exudes passion for his craft.
This is a must go to restaurant in Playa Hermosa.

Our favorite place to eat in Playa Hermosa. Excellent food, service, and space. Very fair prices compared to the oceanfront restaurants. Vegan and meat lover friendly.

Absolutely delicious eggs benedict and best french toast ever

Great newer restaurant, fabulous food. We came to eat twice in the same day we liked it so much. Eggs Benedict is fabulous, smoked salmon bagel, omelette, etc. all delicious.

Verde has a great decor, the food was excellent (with a great amount of veggies, something we were missing from California), and the wait staff was professional and friendly.

New restaurant - great food, great service. Eggs Benedict and omelettes are wonderful!
