Cabañas la Pradera

A bit rustic, but has everything you need. Service at reception desk is flawless. Wifi is a bit slow but works fine most of the time. Beds are comfortable. Kitchen is great. There is a walking trail around the property which is a nice quick walk. There is no A/C but temperature is quite cool on Monteverde so not needed. Our decision criteria was to have a a pool, which turns out is not really needed in Monteverde since it is quite cold (the temperature and the pool temperature). Maybe would have picked a different accomodation without a pool, but still very satisfied.

Completely exceeded expectations! The family organised all of our excursions and made our stay an unforgettable experience. The property is located outside the main town and as a result we had direct access within the hotel grounds to a wonderful and extensive nature trail! We also benefited from a peaceful room surrounded by wildlife! It’s approximately a 15-20 walk via a steep hill to the centre, however we enjoyed the exercise and it definitely wasn’t a chore! We were picked up from our hotel for all of the day trips we booked so it wasn’t necessary for us to hire a car. An absolutely awesome property to stay at! Definitely 5⭐
The room is more like a fully equipped chalet! Big kitchen with everything you need to cook plus a massive fridge/freezer. A patio with table and chairs for dining. Comfy bed, arm chairs and TV with hundreds of channels including Netflix, Amazon etc

Beautiful cabins in the middle of an amazing property with paths to walk around, a lot of birds and flowers and even sloths can be found within the property! Also great service and super clean and well equiped cabins.

The cabins were great and had everything we needed. The property is beautiful and the family that owns it is incredibly friendly and super helpful. The location is great for quick travel to the major attractions nearby

Excellent stay.
Our cabaña was simple, very clean, with fridge, stove, tv, internet.
Very close to the center, 5min or so.
The staff is very friendly, smiling and accommodating.
They can give you recommendations and will help you book whatever you need or want to do.

Really nice stay, the chalets are nice, hot water, excellent water pressure, stove really powerful, big fridge. Absolutely awesome view and surroundings, from our chalet we can take a path through the incredible vegetation to an hidden bank below a tree where you can have your best pic of the sunset. I found the place exceptional

Nice little cozy hotel in nature with short distance to lovely town. Amazing staff - so helpful, always smiling and very present. We loved staying here so much.

Tony greeted us warmly and pointed us to a sloth nearby. The sloth was very close and we got a great picture. We also saw a giant Hercules Beetle near the office. Our cabin was awesome with a nice balcony overlooking the hills and beautiful property. Tony also had great recommendations of what tours to do and where to eat. This is a family run business and they take great pride in offering a wonderful place to stay. Most tours will pick you up right at the la Pradera. To go to town, a cab will pick you up for $3-4. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay at this place. It's a family-owned business with beautiful views and small trails. The owner of cabins were very nice and helpful,they helped us with all the tours, laundry and information

Enjoyed the larger rooms and the hiking trail through the grounds with stops for the coffee plants, banana plants. Joined by two of the friendly neighborhood dogs for some of the hike.

We had a wonderful 2 night stay in the cabins. Great cabins, nice breakfast, the location was perfect, and excellent customer service. Melissa and Tony were so friendly and helpful.

Such a nice place. Everything was perfect- the cabin, the surrounding, the view.
Only the wifi was a bit low, but totaly forgivable.
It's managed by a sweet and very helpful family. Warmly recommended.

Beautiful grounds, pool area, close to Monteverde Rain Forest. Fabulous Cabin and great modern hot shower. Very reasonable. Close to town. Tony is a great host.

This is a really great place, nothing fancy but those cabins are in the forest, the cabins got a little kitchen, the one we booked had two different bedrooms, everything is clean, they got a hiking trail within the compound and it is still very close to restaurants, grocery stores and the Monteverde Cloud Forest Biological Reserve.

Very nice, private cabañas with kitchen, welcoming hosts, and reasonably priced. 3 km hiking trail on the property.

Cozy, isolated from the hustle and bustle of town or city noises, yet close enough to be able to get whatever needed. The cabins are clean with all the essentials for a comfortable stay.

Great people, cute cottages, nice location with enjoyable walking trails allowing first hand insight into local small scale agriculture! Highly recommended.
