Waterfall El Encanto

This was a stop on our way to the Pacific beach area leaving from San Jose. Its sord of mod way. Enjoyed the hike down which was about 30 min. The hike up was a bit more challenging but take your time and you’ll make it just fine. It is well maintained.

Great waterfall, was very quiet when we were there. very scenic, great for pictures. The base of the waterfall is 8meters deep but there are shallow spots as well. You walk down about 180 steps, and have to come up those so don’t stay past sunset. It costs $2pp when we went.

Nice place. Good to swim. And look for fosils!! Be careful, you have to be a good swimmer and rocks are very sharp! But if your careful it's very safe and a good place to go

Moderate to difficult & steep hike and stairs. Seems like a hidden gem as not many people were here and you don't have too too much to see it either. Worth a visit if it's on your way!

Fun walk down to the river and the falls. Good spot to jump in and cool off on a warm day. I’d come back here.

Peaceful, beautiful and secluded. This off the beaten path gem is a haven on a hot day where you can just have a quick dip, or spend several hours relaxing.
2000 C entry per person. Easy parking situation, walk about 10 minutes down to the waterfall. And enjoy 😌

The size depends on the rain fall. One small fall when we were there but that means you can swim out and sit under it. Still pretty! 😍 Steep stairs not recommended for elderly or small kids. If you drive a car stay parked in the top parking lot by the restaurant, SUV can drive down to the lower parking but watch out if it rains! Small charge to get in maybe 1,000 colones per person.

I visited this place in the dry season so the river was low. We were still able to swim near the falls and get some great pictures. It was not very busy and a couple hundred colonies to park. The hike to the waterfall leads you down some steps that are not too hard to go down but are a challenge ringer back up after a full day of swimming.

Muy lindo más en esta temporada el caudal está alto con una caída de agua increíble super recomendado si hay que bajar 180 grasas muy inclinadas pero seguras

Super lindo en diciembre y enero, ya para febrero y marzo se seca bastante. Para que lo tengan en consideración.
Se puede ir con amigos o familia. Hay bastantes gradas entonces tal vez no para adultos mayores o gente con muy poca condición física. Fuera de eso, el lugar es precioso y se disfruta muchísimo 😊

Un lugar muy bello, para llegar a la catarata se caminan unos 350 mts si los carros se dejan afuera (en caso de ser un carro 4x4 o alto se puede dejar más cerca). El lugar no es accesible para personas con alguna discapacidad (hay que bajar unas 200 gradas).

Hay una catarata y una sección de río en la que se puede pasar un buen rato. Si es para bañarse recomiendo ir en verano (de mediados de noviembre a enero cuando hay bastante agua). Si es para apreciar el caudal de la catarata es mejor ir en invierno.

El lugar cuenta con baños, un pequeño restaurante y el costo por ingresar es de 2000 colones.

Tiene muchas pocitas, por lo que uno puede tener un buen Spot viendo hacía las Catarata.

La poza que está directamente en la Catarata tiene 8 metros de profundidad, por lo que si no sabe nada, solo tener un poquito de precaución o también andar en los flotadores que ahí hay.

Tiene 186 escaleras pero la verdad es que uno siente que no es tanto, ya que se empieza a ver la Catarata prontamente y es hermoso.

Hay un restaurante, hay baños gratuitos.

La entrada vale 2000.

Un lugar espectacular, aun cuándo fuí en invierno y el agua estaba café, es simplemente genial, fácil de llegar, seguro, se vive aventura, la caminada es super corta (500m a lo mucho), hay muchas gradas por lo que no se lo recomiendo a gente con mala condición física o impedimentos. Mucha naturaleza, fauna y flora, muy bello. Solo ₡2mil la entrada y en el restaurante la comida es deliciosa y económica.

Hermoso lugar con muchas posas para pasar un día divertido y apreciar la hermosa cortina de agua de la catarata el Encanto, literalmente queda uno encantado con tanta hermosura, un acceso fácil eso si hay 180 gradas de por medio para su acceso😌
