Villa Olivia

Where do I begin? From start to finish it was such an awesome week-a dream come true vacation spot that we all can’t wait to return to.
From relaxing on the terrace to hikes on the beach for miles in either direction-it was just amazing.
This place is the perfect location for families to come to and all be in the same ‘compound’ with everyone having their own on-suite room with a common area to create so many memories together.
We can’t wait to go back! Oh…and for sure-you want to check out the Hacienda Guachipelin which was highly recommended by the wonderful property manager Julie. It was an ‘e-ticket’ but definitely would not have wanted to miss this excursion.

This is a lovely home on a beautiful beach. We were there 20 years ago and returned this March. A wonderful spot for very young children who can spend hours watching the fishermen, turtles, sea urchins and eels, Kimberly cooked for us (11) every night and we were never disappointed. We just wish we had requested more seafood. The house is very clean and comfortable and the kitchen is well appointed. We had to book two years out to get the week we wanted in March so don’t delay!

The location of this home, steps away from Playa Grande, is like none other! Playa Grande is one of the most beautiful beaches in Costa Rica. The home provides plenty of space and all the amenities you would need. The staff always makes us feel like family. Highly Recommend!

Stayed for a week in May. Great home, comfortably held 8 guests. Had a local lady provide the cooking. Home is 26 years old but feels fresh. 5 hammocks there and multiple rocking chairs! Great time!

All I can say is WOW!! Our family had the best time and our stay at Villa Olivia was perfect. The staff make you feel so welcome, the views are unreal, the culture of Playa Grande and its people are all smiles and love. We will definitely be back! A tip for future guest, use Kimberly and Evelyn for cooking your meals, they were delicious and their hospitality was a joy. All the staff made our visit even better and we can call them friends, Pura Vida!

One of the most magical places, the house is amazing and the staff are fantastic--knowledgeable, welcoming, and so friendly!

Our family of 13 recently stayed at both Casa Mirage and Villa Olivia. They were both amazing, as shown in the pictures and as described. The location is perfect if you're looking for a house to stay at on the beach in a quiet area. The houses are right on the beach, so you can swim in the pools or play on the beach and in the ocean. All rooms have individual bathrooms and the kitchen is well-stocked. The caretakers (housekeeper, grounds keeper, security) were all amazing - very friendly, helpful and did a great job. The houses were clean, and the cleaning service as promised (just be prepared for the usual Costa Rican critters - part of the fun!). Beds were comfortable, plenty of linens including beach towels. We had Kimberly cook for us on our last night and it was delicious! So nice to eat at home with someone else cooking and cleaning up! The owner and property manager were both very responsive. Beautiful houses and we would definitely stay here again. Thanks to Julie, Leeana, Yebri, Ania, Kimberly and Lester - you guys were all fantastic!

We have stayed at Villa Olivia three times and each time I am inspired by the upgrades of the Villa, the cleanliness and above all the great and awesome staff. The staff, all who have been employed there for many years, is very attentive to any need and I have come to see them as my life-long friends. The property is very well kept everyday, our rooms are cleaned daily, the pool is refreshing and our food prepared by Kimberly is delicious and well presented. I highly recommend anyone to vacation at Villa Olivia, groups of 4 to 15 are accommodated easily. Julie and her family who own this property are very responsive to any question and quickly reply to any concern or e-mail. Costa Rica is beautiful and Villa Olivia is truly a piece of paradise shared with us by a great family. Pura Vida! (which means pure life).

This was one of the best locations I have ever stayed at in Costa Rica. I highly recommend allowing the staff to prepare breakfast for your group. It just doesn't get any better than eating an authentic Costa Rican meal outside to the hearing the ocean waves with your loved ones.

When we arrived they were waiting for us and to show us around. The house was exactly as described and any issues we had they were prompt to fix. We would definitely stay there again in the future!

Fantastic place to stay! Great for large groups of family or friends. The ocean front view is unbeatable. The management and staff are wonderful!
