Stayed at the Ripjack Inn Villas. Great location next to beach, friendly staff, fantastic restaurant and fun. Villas are very well laid out for two couples/families.
Nice quiet pool area and private sanctuary.
Lots of activities nearby.
Definitely coming back!

Great food great service, I’ve been coming for years and never get tired of their menu selection and the great service.
From breakfast to dinner this is my favorite place in the area to eat and live music days are super fun to say the least
I’ll keep coming regularly every time I can

My family and I stayed there for 4 nights. The staff was wonderful and very welcoming. Upon arriving Angie at the front office was very pleasant and welcoming. The grounds of the property is well kept. The location is close to the beach but you have to drive out far to participate in any of the excursions. The restaurant at the hotel was also good, as well as the nearby local restaurants. Overall, I would definitely return.

I stayed at the RipJack for a week with my two sons (three adults). We stayed in their cheapest rooms under the restaurant, but the brought us an extra bed and mini-fridge for our room at no charge. The location close to the beach is fantastic, and walking distance to 'town' (such as it is). We had a rental car and absolutely used it, the local food options are decent but nothing is cheap, and we were on a shoestring, so we did food runs to grocery stores in neighbouring towns. Hammock outside our room, multiple benches by the pools, coffee in the morning, great outdoor showers. The restaurant was crazy expensive so we never ate there.

Highly recommend.

We LOVED our stay at Rip Jack Inn. It was absolutely lovely. The location is perfect....short walk to the best beach. We were accommodated when we needed to extend our stay due to unforeseen circumstances. The food in the restaurant is delicious. The staff are kind and super helpful. We were referred to Frijoles Locos for the surfboard rental and they were great. Thanks for everything. We'll be back!

I had the Yucca Hash and ordered a stack of banana pancakes to share. This cafe is above a yoga retreat and wellness center. The good vibes must have been bleeding through. Amazing food, kind service, and friendly wildlife (magpie jays). Made this place jump to the top of our list of places we want to eat at again.

Enjoyed our stay, staff was very helpful. The room was simple and clean the restaurant had great food and entertainment on Friday nights. We stayed in a room under the restaurant and the noise was never a problem they closed early. The beach is very close and the surfers come there when waves are high. This beach is the best, its never to crowded and the sunset will leave you breathless.
We lost our keys and the staff worked it out and changed the locks at no cost to us. If your looking for romantic, peaceful beautiful place to stay, this is your place.

Love this rooftop space! Open and airy, close to the beach.
Servers are attentive and knowledgeable.
Their menu is extensive and very tasty!
We have been multiple times for Happy Hour (1/2 off drinks) and enjoyed the Bocas Menu selection.

Happy hour was fun. Watched family of monkey’s hang out in the trees while we ate dinner. Seafood sampler for two was delicious. After dinner we walked 2 minutes to watch the sunset on the beach. Awesome location.

Everyone was very helpful and nice. The front desk personal helped us arrange all our 3 tours. We highly recommend the sunset sailing tour offered by Panache.

The room was clean and comfortable. The yard was well maintained and beautiful. I really enjoyed reading my book on the hammock by our room. The room had an espresso machine and we loved the coffee every morning while sitting on our outside patio surrounded by the tropical trees and flowers. I wish that all rooms came with mini fridge.

The restaurant provided us delicious meals. The service was excellent.
The two outdoor pools were nice to cool ourselves off during the day and night.

We took a yoga lesson which was offered at the hotel. The classroom was big and clean. The instructor Stacy was fantastic.

Only 2 minutes walk to the beautiful beach. The beach wasn't busy at all. The little conner store was 10 minutes walk and it was handy.

Overall, RipJack is excellent place to stay if you are looking for relaxing, personable and less touristy place with fantastic beach near by.

Really had a great time and will be back. Rooms were well appointed, clean and very comfortable. Pool was very nice and right off our room. The beach is a very short walk to check the surf and we had multiple meals at the restaurant and were very impressed. I've been coming to Guanacaste to surf for 7 years and have always stayed in Tamarindo; if you want something more laid back and close to a far less crowded beach with better surf, this is the place. We'll be back for sure.

Perfect. I liked the vibe on the Expedia. After talking with team member on the phone I was sold! This boutique in exceeded my expectations. Quiet with a family touch. Chatting with guests who have been coming here for 10 years verified how special Rip Jack Inn is. The 1 minute walk from hotel through trees listening & seeing Monkeys is magical. I would definitely recommend this boutique inn & already have to anyone looking for a place in Costa Rica

The RipJack Inn is an absolute paradise! As my second trip to the Inn, I was prepared for incredible food, kind staff, and the beautiful atmosphere. I’ll never get tired of this place!! The walk to the beach is super short and the sunsets are amazing. The Inn is a perfect distance to the easy waves for surfing lessons, Tamarindo shopping, and a spa. The front desk scheduled my surfing lessons for me with a wonderful instructor! I want to live at the Inn. The shampoo and conditioner supplies smell amazing too. RipJack is full of little details you’ll never forget!

A fabulous 5 day stay at the hotel RipJack Inn. Great location, responsive management, fabulous ever ready to help staff, a restaurant with a super broad menu at fair prices, most rooms right by a swimming-pool. Very competitive prices. What more could one want?

Great location, few steps from the beach, clean, excellent small pools, convenient rentals of all beach necessities, and all 3 of my teenagers agreed the best restaurant they had ever eaten at! My wife and I are planning on reurning soon, the best experience we have had in 30+ years of vacationiung in CR.

RipJack is a hidden treasure. Our son & his fiancĂ© took us on vacation there recently. The restaurant is top notch. The staff was incredible. If you really want to get away from things & are a surfer (or want to take lessons) you need to stay here. It’s pretty isolated but easy to get around CR with a driver or rental car. We got the three lower rooms that walk right out to the pool. RJ rooms & grounds are impeccable. Howler monkeys, amazing birds, lizards and saw of frog the size of a dinner plate one night. I wish everyone could get to stay here once in there life🌴🌴🥰

We LOVED the food at Rip Jacks! Can’t wait to go back and even stay here. Great vibe and owner was super friendly. They accommodated our group of 17 flawlessly and the kids were allowed to swim in the pool and play ping pong as we waited for our food. The drinks were amazing and the food was some of the best we’ve ever had. Highly recommend the hot shrimp/hummus entree. It was fantastic. Also would recommend the Indonesian rice bowl. Can’t wait to go back some day!
