Dani is the best surf instructor I’ve ever seen in action. He taught my two sons (10 and 12), and was super high energy, patient, and made it fun for the boys. Loved how the drew the whole beach on the sand and explained what to watch out for. I’ve traveled around and had other instructor, but never seen anyone so passionate about surf as he is. Danny is a fantastic surf instructor and is certified!! I’ve had many surf lessons and he is the very best! Excellent teaching of form, proper warm up, great attention during lesson, kind and easy to interact with, fun to be around with a super positive attitude!! Couldn’t recommend more and price is fair and standard for the area!

Dani was a great teacher. I had 3 private lessons with him and I was able to stand up on my board the first time I tried. He explains the techniques really well and it was just so much fun learning to surf with him. I would book him again and I can really recommend him. You can tell that he loves his job and he loves surfing.

We (2P) took a lesson today with Dani and had a great time. Me (first time beginner) and my girlfriend (beginner) could benefit so much from this (almost) 1 on 1 teaching.

We can recommend Dani 100%, we could feel he's living for surfing. As soon as we entered the water he was in his element and he enjoyed it too. Happy teacher = happy students! :)

My partner and I took a surf lesson with Dani and had an excellent time! We applied the skills learned throughout our trip and became consistent in our pop-ups while surfing in white wash and baby green waves. Dani's approach was very easy to follow and he ensured we felt safe and provided feedback throughout the lesson, superb coaching. Our only regret is not taking another lesson.

Dani is an incredible coach - extremely knowledgeable, great energy and very positive. Been wanting to progress out of the beginner level and work on technique, reading waves and timing and happily achieved that. I always felt safe and even was able to enjoy waves that normally would have been out of reach for me. Definitely excited to keep at it and now have the confidence to go out on my own. My friend and I had the best experience with Dani. We took classes with him for a week and enjoyed every minute of it. Dani has such a motivating and passionate way of teaching and makes you feel safe and confident in the water at all times. His coaching and advice was worth so much and as a beginner I was able to improve each lesson and get a better feeling of the right technique and the waves. I strongly recommend Dani as a surf instructor. He is kind and encouraging. He has an incredible capacity to articulate with words the technique and goal for a session. I was safe, challenged, as well as encouraged and critiqued. My surfing completely shifted in a few sessions with Dani as a result of his skill as a teacher. If you are looking for a guide to connect to the ocean and your own capacity on a board, Dani fills the role perfectly. Pura Vida.

Daniel is the best surf coach I have had, he is incredibly positive, motivating and always on point. He analyses your performance constantly in and out of the water, helping me progress from a beginner to a beginner to an intermediate surfed. I really cannot recommend him more, an all round amazing guy.

I had lessons with Daniel in August. I had surfed before, but I still considered myself as a beginner. He taught me a new technique that was easier then I originally learned.
I initially booked 3 lessons, but ended up with 5 lessons. I saw that I really improved each day. He makes you feel safe in the water, when you start going for the bigger waves.
Daniel is more like a coach, then just an instructor. He coach you to understand what you are doing correct and incorrect, so you can also continue improving on your own.
He is focused, serious and encouraging. You can see that he is very happy for you when you make it.
He teaches in a way where I developed myself each day and he always pushed me a bit further to become better.
Daniel is a great coach and the best surf instructor I ever had!!
I would not be in any doubt to select him if you want to learn how to surf or/and improve your surfing!!

Daniel is an amazing instructor! I had literally zero experience and I had no clue what to expect with surfing but I felt very knowledgeable by the end of my first lesson. Daniel makes you feel extremely safe and is super encouraging the entire time. He gives feedback after every wave and is awesome at explaining the ins and outs of different scenarios. I went to my second surf camp in Costa Rica and Dani was by far my favorite all time surf instructor. He was encouraging, patient, and responsible. I like that he cheers for his students and at the same time challenges them and teaches new techniques to improve their skills. He also always keeps an eye out for the waves and keeps his students safe. I originally signed up for 5 lessons thru my surf camp but I liked Dani so much that I added another 3 lessons. I definitely felt that I’ve improved a ton after taking the lessons with Dani. I’ll definitely request Dani again when I go back to Santa Teresa for additional lessons! He’s amazing!!!! You will love Dani!

Daniel (Dani) is a very friendly person and an excellent surf-teacher. I had four lessons and learned a lot. Positive Feedback and a good mood make the private lessons a great experience.

I've been to a lot of surfcamps and therefore had lessons with about 10 different surf instructors. Daniel is easily in the top 3, if not the best. In his surf lessons you do an appropriate warm up, get taught the basics on the beach, always feel safe in the water, you learn alot and the most important part: you always have fun. I'm looking forward to surfing with him again.
