Auto Mercado Curridabat

One of the best supermarkets around, very clean and tidy, offers a big selection of national and international products, contrary to popular belief this place is not expensive compared to other big supermarkets like Walmart. The produce is always fresh and there are many cashiers open with great customer service.

This is a chain of local supermarkets, the last one not affiliated with a transnational chain. The service is great and you can find a wide selection of national and imported goods. It has an undeserved fame for being much more expensive than other supermarkets, but that probably is related to the fact they they regularly sell imported food which is not found elsewhere. For local products, prices are similar and sometimes lower than other offerings. They have updated their offering with an store brand which is generally good. They periodically run campaigns to collect funds for different causes and it was one of the first large supermarkets to try to place and emphasis on reusable bags and in general to try to reduce the use of plastic. Recently they added options for in-store pick-up and delivery at reasonable prices (1500 and 3000 respectively).

You can find lots of imported goods & locals in a rather cozy layout. The produce is lovely and it's getting better after the pandemic. Carts/trolleys get dissinfected & gel sanitiser is always available at the entrance.

In the Costa rican super market scale automercado is top tier. All of the pompous giacomin lover grandparents go there to buy fancy stuff

This place is Awsome, If you don't find any special grocery any where in Costa Rica, here you will find it from any alcohol to meat to vegetable etc. The people are very friendly and helpful, everything here is well managed and well categorised, they have variety in every product also the quality is top grade. I have been to many stores like: Wall Mart, Price Mart etc. and I have noticed that the stuff they sell is not that great quality.

I love Auto Mercado. It is a reliable store for all your fine food needs. The staff of Auto Mercado Curridabad is professional and friendly and we like to shop there, as with any other Auto Mercado.

Very good, great variety of products, everything well organized and fresh. The cashiers are really helpful and nice.

Love it...reasonably priced and locally owned and operated. No chuky cheese there!!! And no Wal-Mart junk either. Go shopping you won't be disappointed. Personnel friendly, helpful and always happy to see you.

If you need groceries in Costa Rica, this is definitely the place to go. They have everything you need and everything is fresh. From prepared foods to produce to baked goods, this place has it.

You can find everything you need and more, great variety and stock. If you're a member of their automercado loyalty points card you can then use those points at the supermarket.
