Excellent home made food, all costarrican staples. Highly recommend the super patacones, and the lengua en salsa (cow tongue).

Very typical. No tourists. You sit under the roof in a pleasant shade. At the edge there are a couple of places at a miniature forest created. The food is the classic of the country. Delicious. To pay you go to the cash register and always calls his table. Here you can stock up on traditional sweets.

Our driver took us here as we were starving after the flight. It was so good!! Very clean first of all. We were amazed at how clean it was for an open air restaurant. Then the food! I had cosado with chorizo. It was definitely the best chorizo I've ever had. My husband also got the chicken taco app so I gave it a try as well and it was very tasty.
They brought us complimentary tasting of rice pudding. It was great too! The portions are very big. I probably could have shared my meal with someone and the kids definitely could have because they only ate about a fourth of their dishes (they're teens)
Great place, I'd definitely go back.

My coworkers took me to this place for breakfast on our way to Manual Antonio beach. The breakfast was fabulous with a great atmosphere was atmosphere to match. I would recommend stopping if you are in the area.

We stopped here on the drive from Monteverde to Manuel Antonio. About halfway there, the food is surprisingly good and the portions are large! You see a lot of locals eating here, so that's always a great sign. And importantly, it's right next to the highway.

Great food. We had chicken and beef casada, ceviche and red snapper. All was delicious and huge portions. We split the fish and were full.

We stayed at a nice hotel nearby, Villas del Rey, and walked over one afternoon. The staff was friendly and the food was good.

Best chicken soup I've ever had! A bit of spice, corn tortillas, chunks of chicken, generous portions, everything homemade. Was just the thing I needed for my cold. I swear I felt better after eating a bowl! Highly recommend!

When we left San Jose in the early part of our trip we stopped at Crocodile Bridge and ate at a place there. It’s wasn’t great so on the way back the driver asked if we wanted to stop at the bridge again or try real Costa Rican cooking. We chose the latter and were not disappointed. The place was packed and mostly with locals and the food did not disappoint. Great place!

Wonderful Tico food. Popular with Ticos. Right on the highway but tables face away and are behind walls. Food is well prepared and moderately priced. They don’t serve beer but you can grab a couple at the súper next door and bring them in.

It was our first time to your restaurant. We enjoyed it very much. Everything on our plate taste good. We also like the fact that you had a dog friendly section. Will home back 😀
