Best Western El Sitio Hotel & Casino

The hotel is open with views of the pool when you walk in. They have beautiful grounds with lots of vegetation. They even have a paved path you can walk around behind the restaurant that has peacocks and a nice pond with lots of ducks. The rooms are dated and beds are hard but comparatively speaking with other similarly priced lodging in the area, it was sufficient.

What a hidden gem its in liberia area. We had issues with our Airbnb at Coco Beach and ended up finding this hotel at last minute. We had families with us and turned out its like a resort. Had 2 nice pools, great breakfast area with lovely birds and peacocks, tennis court, volleyball court and nice walking area behind property. Breakfast was fresh and many to chose from even being vegeterian. Recommed this hotel to all.

Mich more than we were expecting. Good amenities. Great pool. Close to the road but overall, a good spot to stay in Liberia.

El Sitio was an amazing experience. Close to the airport and nearby a lot of shopping makes this place a prime location. They also have many acres of maintained paths through their own forest on their property, which is home to a lot of amazing wildlife: Peacocks, iguanas, ducks, birds, etc...

The rooms are very comfortable and spacious. They have hot water showers and very large bathrooms! Air conditioner works great and stays nice and cool.

The pool is beautiful and nice to relax by. It was a little too cold for my liking, but had a nice ambiance.

I'd highly recommend!

We were very pleased with our stay here. The open air hallways and garden environment allowed us to enjoy the warm breezes on our final night before heading off to the nearby airport. The pool and grounds were lovely, and breakfast under the woven palm roof was plentiful, varied and very pleasant. The bed was firm but comfortable.

Friendly staff, clean rooms, comfy beds, good food in onsite restaurant.

Interesting wildlife on the property -peacocks, chickens, iguanas, cats. Great photo ops.

Hotel desk concierge gave us a great recommendation for a Mexican restaurant!

Although we only stayed here for one night prior to returning to the USA after three weeks in Costa Rica we found their staff very friendly and helpful. The accommodations were clean and well laid-out. The Pool, restaurant and bar were well run and professionally staffed. The hotel grounds with their trail system offer many things to see and peaceful places to relax and enjoy. We look forward to our next stay with this fine hotel and to see again those friend folks we met during this past visit. Five Gold Stars!!!

This place has queen beds instead of doubles, which is really nice for a family of four. Beautiful entrance and lobby. Good breakfast. No problems with check-in or check-out.

The room is basic, nothing special, mediocre furnishings, but that's a low priority for us. It was clean, had working ac, and a decent shower.

Great place to stay after a long drive or flight. Free breakfast, Wifi and has A/C. Newly refurbished rooms.

The reception staff here have been absolutely fantastic. I am backpacking and was dropped off here this morning by one bus company, due to be picked up by another late this afternoon, and even though I wasn't a hotel guest the staff agreed to store my bag for me while I went into town to look around and do some shopping, and were happy for me to spend hours sitting in reception - they even gave me the WiFi password, which was incredibly kind. The second bus never arrived so I ended up checking in for the night (the bus company are paying!) and the room is delightful. Spacious. Clean. Comfortable. With hot water in the shower! Today has been difficult and frustrating due to the transport problems, but it's been a lot nicer than it could have been thanks to the fabulous staff here. Thank you so much!

Booked this hotel last minute after travel plans were disrupted due to weather and it was perfect. It has a great location - close to the airport and a quick walk to Walmart (which was needed after the airline lost our bags). Staff was friendly, rooms were clean, food was good, and amenities and grounds were beautiful.

The reception and restaurant staff were helpful, polite, and attentive. The room was spacious, clean, and the furnishings met our needs. The price of the room was reasonable. The hotel is located next door to a shopping center for easy access to a bank, restaurants, and grocery store in case you need supplies (but you do not hear the traffic or general mall noise, even though our window faced that direction). It is one of the closest hotels to the airport, and the front desk will happily reserve a taxi for you upon request.

View from street ia deceiving. Walk through the lobby and you are un ShangrLa with 14 Peacocks walking the grounds, large pool, gardens, even a soccer field, pond, and giant lizzards scurrying away to hide. Included breakfast buffet is amazing.

I found this to be a little taste of paradise with local flair.

It’s clean, light, airy, well maintained and very onda Tico.

I can’t say enough about the pool area - Like most of the hotels I’ve stayed at in CR, this pool is huge. It has an interesting shape to it, is not too deep, has water falls and a wading pool.

It has a beautiful color and it’s because it is lined with plastic and makes the color crystal blue. Very odd but very satisfying and interesting to walk on. It has a small island in the middle. Really lovely clean and quiet.

Gorgeous property with ancient Guanacaste trees, peacocks and iguanas along with the amazing foliage so well kept.

There is even a hiking trail and a river behind it which makes this place really a special find.

And there is a great little play area for the Little ones! And do take a stroll around the premises to enjoy the peacocks and iguanas the come to be fed in the morning by the staff.

It is not a 5-star but it’s an awesome three star
to be sure and the staff is exceptionally nice.

The room was spacious, awesome view, great wooden furniture that I was tempted to ask where they had it made.

Linens are white and fresh, cover was a bit outdated looking but not old. Beds were firm in an oddly satisfying way. Clean and nice feeling towels too. A small coffee station is provided.

The bathroom needs an updating but is spacious and plenty of very hot water.

They have an authentic Tico Tiki hut restaurant that opens for dinner and serves buffet breakfast included in your stay. Otherwise walking distance to shopping mall and there is always Uber Eats.

Close to airport, rental cars, shopping and on the way to or from San José. Convenient and well priced.

Our room was lovely and clean. The food in the restaurant was delicious. The pool and grounds are beautiful. The rate was reasonable. What's not to like? Would definitely stay there again. Very close to the airport and city.

Right in the center of Liberia, this hotel was super close to our bus station. It was clean and the staff was helpful and friendly. The pool area is amazing! And the breakfast in the morning was awesome...Gallo pinto, eggs, fresh fruit, toast and pastries, tons of juices, coffee...the works! Would definitely stay here again, great value overall.

The pool here was really great. The location is not too bad even though it's on a major highway. There is a grocery store right next door. If you walk like 10-15 minutes into downtown, there are lots of restaurants.
