The service was amazing every time! We thoroughly enjoyed the food and atmosphere as well. We tried probably 8 restaurants in the area while we were in town for a week and came back here a few times! For us that is saying a lot. I would highly recommend checking them out. Lennard is the name of our waiter and he is out of this world!!

Delicious food at a good price point. We drove by this place and it looked like just the right casual spot for dinner. The food was delicious, but order everything at once because service was EXTREMELY slow. We went around 7:30 and it was pretty empty, still waited until almost 830 to eat lol.

The staff was friendly though, they just didn't seem to have enough folks cooking at the time we went.

We own a home nearby so we are always on the lookout for yummy restaurants. We LOVE Marino Ballena. It’s a huge plus that they speak English- because unfortunately our Spanish isn’t coming along quickly enough.

The chicken rice is my favorite dish- comes with the most delicious side salad and fries. Tons of flavor and veggies.

My husband loves the mixed ceviche and has liked everything he’s tried.

Located right next to BM which is a great place for groceries.

It's on the pricey side but the service and food are excellent! Ask about their fresh fruit drinks!

Highly recommended! Beat food we had in Costa Rica during our 3 weeks stay.

The fish is fresh, they prepare and season it deliciously and the sauces are to die for 🤩

We had one starter, two of the most expensive main plates and drinks and it all came up to about 40$.

After traveling from Manuel Antonio, MonteVerde to Uvita, what a change of pace and real Tico life. Service was great, good ambiance and location. Our wait staff Byron was attentive. Prices are very reasonable.

Cool open air spot, TVs for sports and friendly staff. Had a mojito and the ceviche. The chicken cordon blue was super good and the veggies are good too. Takes a while to come out but worth it.

Excellent food at very reasonable prices. The atmosphere was comfortable and open-air. We came for drinks, ceviche, and dinner and the total was very reasonable. The servers are friendly and bilingual.

I've had the best food ever! It was Chickens devil! Omg it tasted sooooooo damn good! Also we had such good cocktails! The spicy margarita as well the normal margarita where so so tasty 😍🤩😍

Was looking a bar to watch the tennis finals and the staff directly put the right channel on the screen of my choice - ordered a banana and strawberry smoothie with half milk half water base and it was delicious! Great service

Stopped here today for a quick lunch. Food was good and service was faster than most Costa Rican restaurants we’ve been to on this trip. Right next to the grocery store which is convenient as well.

Ate here 3 times in 10 days and wish I went there again. Food was incredible

Great bar and restaurant right in Uvita. Food is always good and flavorful. Good amount of choice from traditional ceviche and gallo pinto to hamburgers and pasta. The nachos are delicious and large. Full bar service as well as traditional bebidas (and they always seem to have guanábana which is a huge plus in my book). Service is always friendly and attentive. Don't count on English being spoken though, but the menus are bi-lingual, so you can just point. It's right next to the BM so it makes a nice two-for-one stop of getting a bite to eat and getting some groceries.

Come for the Ceviche Pescado! Being new to the taste of ceviche, for the week I've been in Uvita, I've been sampling ceviche all over town. Nothing compares to Marino Bellena Restaurant. I had to try it twice. Also a great hamburger and coated, crispy fries. Casual, fun place. Staff is friendly and speak both English and Spanish. Clean. Ceiling fans to keep you cool. Music is not too loud and TVs on mute. Very happy with my experience, and the next time I'm in town, I will definitely visit again!

Great food, reasonable prices. Oh, and friendly staff. What else can you ask for?

They make good drinks, and if you get a cocktail they use fresh fruit purée‘s to flavor them instead of some syrup from a factory.

I highly recommend the Mariscada, which is a huge platter with every type of seafood imaginable cooked in a wonderful sauce.

We were with a large group who all had varying tastes and this spot had an extensive enough menu to satisfy everyone. The Arroz cons were delicious, the other dishes were mediocre. We loved the choice of Mr Bean on several TVs was interesting and very entertaining! And most importantly, our server was outstanding.

My brother and I just stayed in the cabins behind the restaurant for a week (was really reasonably priced). We ate at the restaurant most nights. The staff were all so friendly and kind. The food was good and the atmosphere was really pleasant. The staff is what really made the experience so wonderful. Thanks :)

We have been to Marino Ballena restaurant many times and have always been pleased by both food and service. A very clean and relaxed atmosphere. Today we came in between breakfast and lunch and was served by a delightful young server named Jules. Her smile and enthusiasm left an impression on us. We will be back.

I had the best experience today. Jules was my server and I felt she went above and beyond her service for me today. Jules is one of the best servers in uvita for sure. As for the food... I was a little disappointed at first that they were out of Tortillas as I was looking forward to the fish tacos, however I ended ordering the hamburger and it was the best hamburger I've had in a long time. Not to mention they have the best house made hot sauce. Well done Marino. Well done!
