Sea Bird Sailing Excursions

It doesn't get any better than this! We took a sailing and snorkeling trip with Sea Bird at the end of January, 2024. I've taken many boating excursions all over the world, and this one was hands down the best! The crew was fantastic, scenery was beautiful, above and below the water (but if you're looking for lots of colorful corals, this part of Costa Rica just doesn't have them, so don't be disappointed...), the food was excellent, and the drinks were top notch. I highly recommend a trip on the Sea Bird!!!

What an AMAZING day with this sailing charter company. Our crew of 3 could not do enough to make our day absolutely perfect and it most certainly was. Would highly recommend them to anyone wanting the best experience ever.

Ok. So we didn’t actually sail. BUT it was a great boat trip with a smaller “not party crazy” crowd. The staff was amazing and never let my beer get to empty before having an another ice cold one in my hand. We spent an hour on the beach snorkeling and checking out a cool cave. The trip back had phenomenal sunsets. Fun time all around. But if you require sails up…

If you are looking for a private sunset cruise, Riley and his crew are the way to go!! They were extremely attentive to all our needs: drinks, snacks, snorkeling, tubing, music, photography and more. Thank you Sea Bird for an afternoon we will never forget!!

The boat was run by a father and his son. They are locals and they were extremely friendly and attentive to getting us drinks and food the entire trip. They spoke English too. The sky's were overcast when we went so unfortunately we didn't see much of a sunset but the trip was still worth it nonetheless. We were the only 2 people who did not cancel the trip, but even though they didn't have a full boat they made no exceptions in their service.

Would definitely go again when the sky's are more clear!

We had a lovely tour with this crew and a great time at Playa Jicaro in the Papgayo Gulf. The crew were professional, accommodating and made sure we had a great time. Highly recommend for private charters and groups.

This was our third time sailing on Sea Bird as a private charter and a very special evening as our son proposed to his girlfriend during the charter. The boat has new ownership and they have definitely invested in keeping the boat up. They were very accommodating in pre-planning and also in the retrieval of a item left on the boat.

The crew was great--good snacks and beverages. We saw dolphins, a variety of fish, had a nice beach swim.

We had the best time!! We did several excursions while visiting Costa Rica. This was hands down our favorite. The crew was fun to visit with and provided top noch service. We went snorkeling, drinks, snacks and even jumped in the ocean. Definitely book if you’re on the fence.

Great experience, owner accompanied us on our excursion with his knowledgeable and friendly crew! The lunch provided was delicious with many drink options. Some of our group of 15 relaxed in hammock while others snorckled. We saw turtles, whales and other sea life!

My family had a great time with Dave and his crew last week. Dave and his wife are such a lovely couple. We enjoyed a nice chat on the beach as we waited for the crew to pick us up with their little boat. They weren't late, we were just really early. We went with our two kids, 7 and 4 years old. They had a blast! Dave took us all out snorkeling, explore the beach, cave, and a little walk up a hill to enjoy the awesome view. We got to relax and enjoy ourselves because Dave took care of taking our photos for us. Thanks guys for showing me and my family a great time!

My sister had her wedding on one of their sailboats. Best wedding ever! Wow that was fun!

Great fun and good price. Lots of fish and sea turtles at the two stops. Nice lunch and cold drinks!

Amazing experience and crew! We were the only ones on the boat, had all you could eat fruits and drinks, hammock time and snorkeling was the best. We found an oyster while snorkeling and they brought it back to the boat, cracked it and we ate it - freshest oyster I've ever had.

They also bought a birthday cake for my wife upon special request which made her day. Would recommend these guys to everyone. Truly down to earth, good people.

We booked a full day sail with them, and had an incredible time. The crew was great, the boat was wonderful, and for most of the day we had a private beach all to ourselves for snorkeling, exploring, BBQ, etc. The day we sailed was our kids birthday...and they even surprised her with a birthday cake. Incredible experience, and a true highlight of our trip to Costa Rica!

We almost skipped this... So glad we did not. Amazing tour with a great crew. We explored a wonderful white sand beach with caves and a Vista. The snorkeling was some of the best we have had with an octopus and lots of fish. Highly recommended ... P.S. the hammocks on board are the best seats in the house!

Our group of four had an awesome sunset sail with the crew! Aaron guided our snorkeling and took some great pictures. We enjoyed talking with Sebastian and Francisco while watching the beautiful Costa Rican sunset and enjoying the homemade sangria. Would highly recommend!

Stellar service! Heather arranged our trip with little notice, but you would never know it. Hector, Sebastian and Manfred were friendly and efficient. Hector was a great guide for snorkeling, and he made an extra effort to be sure we saw things and had fun. They put up the sails for the return trip even though there was not much wind, because they knew we wanted to sail. They even provide photos the crew takes, so you can relax and just enjoy. Phenomenal experience!

We had a really amazing time! We have never swam in the ocean or been on the ocean but not only was the crew amazing the guests that we went with werw really helpful and friendly. They served us drinks and had amazing fruit and snacks. The snorkling was an amazing experience. We got to see turtles and eels and tons of fishes. I definitely recommend them. I do wish we had a little more one on one help from the staff in regards to our snorkling experience. It wad a big group though, and everyone one else was experienced so they were really helpful. They also took and provided us with complementary pictures.

The service was great! Hector was a great host and provided excellent service. We took a private sunset cruise on October 18th 2017. They picked us up on the beach where we were staying. I would recommend bringing towels to sit on or use the hammocks in the back of the ship.
