Citron Restaurante

Citron has been the go to place for good food in El Coco, after spending some time trying out new places here I am glad to say it is still one of the best restaurants in the area. Service is pretty good and food portions are made to have a 3 course menu (appetizer, main and dessert). Prices are slightly high but then again prices in the whole area are pretty high so its worth it to pay a little more if you want to have a good meal.

Someone told me they don’t come to Costa Rica to eat steak. They would if they tasted the steak and frites. Fabulous. And the pork tenderloin equally as good.

Great place for a quiet and even romantic dinner. You can choose to sit inside in the a/c or outside on the patio. Only open for dinner. Highly recommend the Goat Cheese Salad and the Sea Bass Fideua! Also, the Passion Fruit Martini is amazing!

Some of the best food anywhere on the planet. I allowed the waiter to select all my food and he nailed it. The octopus is incredible and I didn't think I liked octopus. It's like crack for foodies. I'm staying at a resort with a 4.9 star rating and Citron puts it to shame. I frequently spend several hundred dollars per couple at well known US restaurants and this place would be packed if it were in the US.

We had been dining at all of the small and out-of-the-way spots for the month that we stayed in Coco. On our last night, we went to Citron expecting standard American fare. Oh how wrong we were. This place is outstanding in terms of food and service. The Lychee martini is not to be missed. The shrimp bisque and risotto were outstanding. Go for the chocolate souffle to end a perfect dining experience. Very reasonably priced as well. We will be here a lot when we come back. 5 stars!

Not crowded but great service and food

Just finished an outstanding meal here. Top 10 of the meals we have ever had. Great service and outstanding food. We had the Risotto and the Beef with Ginger Wok followed by the Chocolate Soufflé. Food was steaming hot and arrived quickly.

High end restaurant in Playas del Coco. Great services prices are a little high but the food is amazing. The shrimp risotto is recommended. I just wish they had a larger selection of wines.

Even though is pricey for CR, you get what you paid for... Every single dish we ordered was pretty awesome: Portobello & tenderloin risotto was spectacular, as well as the Fideuá and the Dijon's tenderloin. Also the tuna tartar, the blue cheese salad, venezuelan tequeños and chocolate soufflé were awesome.. And the service was excellent. If you want to have a fancy, spectacular dinner, regardless of the budget, this is the place to go! You won't regret!

There are 2 excellent restaurants in Playa Del Coco, and Citron is one of them. Good enough that we ate at Citron twice during our week long stay. 4 star in the states, but 5 star in Costa Rica

This place is fantastic! The bad reviews with one star are likely a competitor. Risotto and the crepes are incredible. The Rigatoni Milano is really good. I was here on a Saturday. Enjoy!

Amazing. 7 of us with 7 different dishes and all thought it was outstanding. The service was good and everyone was welcoming. It is a beautiful restaurant.

The food was absolutely amazing. 5 stars to the chef and staff. Everything from the appitizers, man course, and dessert was absolutely delicious!

Great location with wonderful service. Only had breakfast but it was really good. Would definitely eat breakfast here again.

Citron Restaurants has permanently closed. But the new restaurant, Nikkei, that opened in that space is awesome.

Food was the most delicious, not a huge restaurant, but friendly staff.
