The Garden Bar

Wonder outdoor bar inside the La Puerta del Sol hotel grounds. We made 2 visits here. The beer was ice cold. Food was plentiful, tasty and a pretty good selection of items. Fans kept the air moving on hot, humid afternoons. Service was friendly and attentive.

You can get a drink anywhere, but the staff here provides the real reason that you'll want to come back. Everyone is friendly and helpful and eager for you to enjoy your time spent with them. We stayed at the hotel for a week and spent time getting to know Jorge and friends.

Events most evenings during the week were well attended and added a bit of fun. Enjoy!

We had met the Owner, and told us the Chef would cook it fresh for us. Lord was this food Outstanding! We had so much left over we even fed the employees that night.

An 'original' margarita! Not that blended, bottled stuff. R bartender was attentive & looked after us.

I came to Coco to do some diving and stayed at Puerta del Sol. The Garden Bar has amazingly friendly staff. Dennis is the man. Ask for him by name. Others like Miranda, Christa are all very kind. My favorite item on the menu was the cheeseburger (I took out half the pickles and opted for something other than the fries). I have yet to try the sushi (despite a lot of the guests recommending it) but I've had the burger 5 times 🤦‍♂. Why fix what isn't broken? The cocktail list looks good but I am abstaining since I am here for scuba diving. Either I eat at least one meal at this place to hang out with the staff and enjoy a warm meal before hitting the bed.

We very much enjoyed the live band. Folks from the tables were getting up and dancing. It had a really great vibe. Really good food too.

Honestly the best bar in guanacaste. The perfect blend of Costa Rican culture with American quality of cocktails and service. My man’s from Charleston and he brings that tight ship seamless restaurant experience every single time. If I could replan my honeymoon I would stay here every night and it’s only a 3 minute walk to a gorgeous beach. 10 Stars out of 5

Sushi is the best in the area I believe! Nice choices of beer and cider on tap, also good selection of bottled beer. It was the only place I could find a nice Pilsner. (Amber was the brewery) service was very good, staff were friendly.

Great fun! There on Wednesday night for Burgers and Bingo - super deal on a really good burger and Bingo was free!! Wonderful atmosphere, service and food. We will definitely be going back - the kind of place you always have a good time!

Wonderful place with a great casual vibe... Douglas and Krista are wonderful servers and even nicer people... The daily specials and happy hours were part of our daily routine... 5 weeks of tropical bliss... Highly recommend 🌺🇨🇷👍

Service is amazing!! Drinks are delicious and sushi is amazing. Claudia is the best!! We will be back to see Claudia for sure!

A hidden Jem. The staff made me feel like a friend at every moment. The Garden Inn has it all, fantastic food (checkout the online menu) and great entertainment (check out the calendar). Fun, fun, fun. They will be seeing me again soon.

Great place, great music. Love the staff I go there pretty often as a resident in Playas del Coco and always have fun. Sushi night on Tuesday is recommended.

Excellent!!! Top quality food, drinks and service! Definately one of our staple places in Coco! Check out Burger Thursdays...its the only day of the week that reservations are required!! Check it out, you will not be disappointed!!

Nice quiet clean spot good food drinks and service. We stopped a few times within the 2 weeks we were in the area even though there is a lot of good options nearby
