Terrazas de Golf Boutique Hotel

Beautiful location overlooking the Golf course.
The room was cozy and romantic, but a little outdated (non-smart tv only displaying local channels and not able to use Netflix or any other modern services).
One thing I didn't like was how secure the hotel is. Gates are locked at almost all times and when you arrive, you may have to wait 2-5 minutes until the guard in the street calls the reception and they open the gate.
Wonderful hosts/staff, pleasure to interact with! Provided room service every day and restocked water. There was also juice in the fridge which was great as you have to walk 10-15 minutes to the nearest food/grocery locations .

Amazing place with super friendly people. The breakfast (not included in our booking) was delicious - as we do not speak any spanish, they just prepared amazing food for us and charged only half the price. The room is clean, the bathroom very clean as well. Beds were ok, very silent place, about 10min drive from the airport along the main highway. Plenty of supermarkets and dinner/lunch place in the neighborhood (walking distance). Car park included and 24/7 gated by security. Would recommend as airport-hotel and come back again!

It was two wonderful days in the fantastic boutique hotel in San Jose. Roberto read our every wish from our eyes. A small hotel furnished with great attention to detail. The hotel has direct access to the golf course and the nearby country club. You can easily take a day trip to San Jose by taxi. Highly recommended as a starting point for a trip to the Poas volcano. We were very satisfied and would love to come back.

Great boutique hotel right on the golf course and a less than 10$ uber ride to the airport. The rooms are well appointed and comfortable plus the personal service is stellar. Irene and Roberto and mom really made sure we had a good pure vida experience. It felt like we were visiting family. We highly recommend this hotel.

Only stayed one night on the way to the airport, but the hotel was very nice, clean, and in a quiet area. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I'll definitely be back.

We are so glad we found this wonderful place on our trip to Costa Rica. We needed just one night near the airport but didn’t want a big hotel. This was just about 5k from the airport, far enough away to not hear planes all night. Cecilia was amazing and very informative about the grounds and the area. We wish we could have stayed longer! Thank you for a great nights sleep. The place is beautiful and the bed so comfortable.

The best place I have ever stayed in! Absolutely beautiful and the friendliest hosts. Doña Cecilia and Don Mario were so warm and made us feel like we were home. Irene and Roberto were also so helpful in helping us book tours and excursions. We had a great breakfast with fresh fruit and juice and every evening, we were greeted with a wonderful piece of cake. Definitely recommend 100% if you are planning to visit Costa Rica.

If you're looking for somewhere to stay close to the SJO airport, look no further. Terrazas de Golf is simply the best. The rooms are super clean and comfortable, and the service is amazing. The family who owns the hotel is just lovely, and they will treat you like you are part of their family. I've stayed here many times and will not stay anywhere else when traveling to/from Costa Rica.

My husband and I just spent 2 days with this wonderful family at their beautiful hotel??? We were so comfortable and we were treated so well by Cecelia and her family and staff that I can not call this a "hotel" in the traditional sense of the word. We felt as tho we were visiting friends in their home! Absolutely the high point of our stay in Costa Rica.
Do not bypass this hotel...go there and be comfortable,refreshed and welcomed ! You will be glad you did!

This is our second time to stay there for a total of two nights each time. The hotel is extremely clean and gives you the Costa Rican experience. The staff is terrific. The staff went over and beyond their service to meet any requests we had. Breakfast was included, and it was a typical Costa Rican breakfast (very good). The gardens are beautiful and well-maintained. There is even an inside garden with a waterfall. Our room included a private outside patio and garden. We will not even consider staying at any other hotel for our future trips to Costa Rica.

Good breakfast where toast and eggs was served instead of the typical rice and beans we'd eaten almost all trip. Clean rooms and beautiful, well thought-out gardens. We also did the add on for the shuttle to the airport in the morning, since we dropped our rental vehicle off the night before.

We had a very short stay at this hotel since we arrived late and had an early flight the next morning, but were very impressed with everything. Clean, comfortable beds, relaxing atmosphere, courteous staff, it lived up to all the good reviews I had read. Would gladly stay here again.

Our stay was absolutely fantastic. The open porch and homey environment made it feel as if we were in our own home. The hospitality was stellar. If you’re planning on going to San José, make sure to book your stay here!!

This hotel is beautiful and in a very nice area of San Jose. Super close to airport and downtown! The staff are extremely friendly and the hotel is beautiful! Rooms are clean and peaceful! The hotel is also very quiet and safe.

I believe it's the best in San Jose. Great friendly management. Very safe area. Very clean. Spacious rooms. Amazing scenery on the golf course. I've been to few fancy hotels in San Jose, but this is simply the best.

This is a 4 star boutique hotel. It is very convenientlylicated. Cariari mall is just a short walk away. The grounds are beautifully kept. It was very Serene and peaceful. Highly recommend it if you need to stay close to San Jose. It's only 10 minutes away.

Hidden Gem. Do not be swayed by the prices, this is a well maintained small hotel with great customer service. I enjoyed the rooms here more than at the Los Suenos Marriott Ocean & Golf Resort. I don't normally write reviews on google, but since I used reviews to influence my decision to book here, I thought it necessary that I encourage someone else.

We love this place. This was our second stay, actually our third because we bookended a trip to the coast with stays on both ends. Family owned and operated. Super friendly and helpful people.
