Hostal la abuela

This place was great to stay for paragliders, would definitely come back! Good price for a simple room with shower and hot water! The host Gloria was very friendly and made us feel the most welcome! Cool little lounge area upstairs with hammock and nice view of the town. At 6:00 every day local church sings Ave Maria and it fill the whole town with mellow sounds!

Clean rooms, comfy beds, hot showers, lovely hospitable hosts and a small kitchen which we cooked in because the local food wasn't anything special. We really liked the town of Apia with it's steep streets and low level of tourism. From our hostel room we had a view down over the village with the church prominent which can also be viewed from the upstairs common room where many humming birds fly around the feeders. Apia is popular with paragliders and birdwatchers. It's possible to get a 40min jeep ride to Viterbo from the village square, or a bus to Pireia. Recommended!

Ho amato questo posto alla follia. Avevo pianificato di stare 1 settimana e alla fine sono rimasta per 3. Andare via è stato difficile. L'hostal è una grande casa in stile coloniale ristrutturata e dotata di ogni comfort: camere private, super pulite, diversi bagni con acqua calda, ampie zone relax + una terrazza con una vista panoramica mozzafiato e due gatti favolosi. Mi sono sentita a casa soprattutto per come sono stata accolta. Il primo giorno uno dei proprietari mi ha portato da mangiare in terrazza un piatto tipico colombiano mentre stavo lavorando. Tutti i membri di questo hostal sono stato gentilissimi e disponibili, e mi hanno aiutata molto con il mio lavoro di ricerca su Apía e il suo caffè. Gloria e Yolanda vi porterò sempre nel mio cuore ❤ Assolutamente consigliato!

Es un hostal cómodo y bonito, cuenta con varios cubículos de baño compartidos, tienen agua caliente, y las camas son bastante grandes. Tienes independencia para entrar y salir a la hora que quieras, también hay una linda vista desde el lugar. Lo recomiendo.

It's a very simple yet cozy hostel and the view from the back part is really pretty. The bathrooms are clean and with hot water. It's located 2 and 1/2 blocks from the main park up one of the steep streets. It's basically an old house turned into a hostel. If you knock and there's no answer, you must call one of the phone numbers on the door sign. On weekdays they're not around. I had the place for myself which was very cool.
