Macondo: Desserts & Coffee

Wow … this place “Macondo” is a piece of heaven on earth. I am a Canadian who loves coffee ☕. I was sweating from walking to this place … one of the servant, Silvesta knew English. She helped me find a cool table and turned the fan for me. She gave quick intro of the art in the place. I selected Limonada de Cafe drink. Very tasty. Next time, I am going to bring a friend to have coffee and house cake 🍰… looks super tasty when others are eating it. This place is a must to visit for tourists in Cali.

We came across this by accident and read about the coffee lemonade which was intriguing. We only read later that it's quite famous, so our judgement wasn't clouded by expectations...
It was an amazing experience and pretty much perfect from the atmosphere, over the service and most important the taste. We had tried the coffee lemonade, lemon milkshake and the chocolate brownie and can recommend all! At the counter we saw the other desserts and they looked equally delicious and worth a try.

Nice atmosphere and the food was good when it eventually came. It took about 50 minutes for my salad arrived and the server was vrude to me when I was paying.

The inside of this coffee shop is interested but I think the entrance door takes the award for most interesting piece of article at the store. The coffee is high quality and the various methods of extraction are commendable. I would highly recommend the full immersion coffee and try some of their pastries as they looked quite delicious. I did want to let you know there is plenty of seating inside the back and heh also have free wifi for those who need to keep in touch with their real enemies.

Amazing amazing amazing coffee!!!! Soooo many variety and amazing service too!!! The only downside is that it gets a bit warm with no proper ventilation and for some reason they didn't bother turning the fan on. Thankfully it wasn't too warm to feels unpleasant.

There's a chain at the door, but don't put you off from that as it's actually opened and meant to deter beggars from coming in.

Omg! Such an amazing experience! I can define it in three words: Cozy, Increible, Unique! They hav special Coffee from all Colombian areas.. The coffe is very interesting in French,Chemex Clever... The light is low so it is very romantic... They have even a small cinema! A Good place for Coffee lovers and Art Lovers!

A good menu selection, and lovely presentation of drinks or any dish you order. Great atmosphere to spend an afternoon with friends or family. Can also enjoy the great movie selection in their small theater!

Very nice place with assortment of coffees and desserts and other cafe foods. Nice to relax and read or hang out with friends.

It is a small coffee shop in the traditional area of San Antonio which is quite close to Calle 5 and City Centre! The place its small but cosy!! They have good local coffee and an amazing chocolate cake! They also offer independent cinema days so check their Facebook if you want a bit more info on that!! Highly recommended!

Amazing fusion of flavours & the best desserts. We came for a coffee and cake and we were blown away by the choice of drinks infused with coffee and beautiful mix of suttle yet powerful flavours in their drinks and food. Dessert Babel is the one to try! One of the best desserts I've ever had.

To me, the best coffee shop in San Antonio. Our server, Andres, was very polite and well-spoken. We had coffee and a sandwich. We also bought coffee beans. Best coffee ever from San Agustin, Huila.

Laid back cafe with lots of frozen n alcoholic coffee combinations including exotic fruits. There's a limited selection of board games to watch the afternoon go by

Such an amazing cafe that is beautifully decorated and just feels so warm and cozy.

The staff are unbelievably helpful and friendly and the food/drink are absolutely incredibly.

They also put free films on every night in their native language (and Spanish subtitles). They literally have a cinema screening room out back.

This is the PERFECT place to go with a date or friends!
