Finca Alejandría "El Paraiso de los Colibries"

A true gem for hummingbird watchers, one of my favorites near Cali. Raul was a great host. Hummingbirds are the stars and the open type hummingbird feeders that Raul uses are excellent for photography. There are resident nesting quetzals. There are also feeders visited by tanagers, barbettes and toucans but those aren't set up for photography. The property is lovely and very tranquil. Highly recommended.

It is an amazing place to see hummingbirds! They are all over the place, and don’t mind if you get close. There are also some short trails where you can see other birds.

This is a most for birding in Colombia, with endemic and rare species this one of the spots to visit when you in Colombia, this places has hummingbid and Tanager feeders and is special for groups of birdwatchers and photographers tha will enjoy marvelous views of the endemic and so stunning Multicolored Tanager thst comes to the banana feeders and also to the hummingbid feeders, for sure more than 40 species between humminbirds and tansgers visiting just the feeders, this with out mention that suddenly can appear Crested Quetzal, Golden-headed Quetzal, Ornate Hawk-eagle and more birds of this Km 18 cloud forest where Finca Alejandría "The Hummingbirds Paradise" is located. I invited everyone to come this fantastic place, this is also for famillies, grouos of friends and good Argentinian BBQ is offered there.

Its a wonderful place to see birds and you will feel very welcomed. It's easy to get there by car.

A wonderful place to birdwatch, countless different hummingbirds you are only likely to see here, the multicoloured Tanager also frequents the feeders, and there is a Quetzal nest just in front of the Finca too, what more could you ask for! We stayed for two nights and the accommodation was also very nice, Sugeidy is one of the nicest people we have met on all of our travels, and Don Raul is incredibly knowledgeable and helpful with the birds. Highly recommended

Absolutely perfect day! The feeding stations attract an amazing selection of birds (including the super rare multicolored tanager) and the hosts were incredibly friendly. Plus the food was delicious.

Finca Alejandra is a wonderful place to see birds in El 18. We were lucky to see 4 baby Chestnut Wood Quail, only 3 days old, at their great hide. Nice feeders near the house, as well as great birds in the woods up behind the house.

This is a great place to visit whether you are a birder or not. Everyone will enjoy it. If you go early and stay long you can likely see many beautiful Tanagers and hummingbirds, including Multicoloured Tanager, Saffron Crowned Tanager, Booted Raquet tail, Emerald Nymph, and Crested Quetzal. The staff and owners are so good and nice and friendly and offer great food and coffee.

If you love birds, this place will certainly surprise you. Is indeed a paradise and the owner will make you feel at home. Just beautiful! Bien hecho don Raúl!!!

Tough road there, but well worth it. Incredible hummers, tanagers, etc. The Multicolored Tanager is a regular visitor.
