Hotel Juanmar

This place is fantastic situated on a beautiful beach they keep clean. We stayed several weeks kitesurfing with a few breaks visiting other parts of Colombia. The owners are great and made us feel part of the family, very friendly and helpful and gave us very good advise for our trips and explained a lot about Colombia. Wonderful breakfasts, do not miss the ceviche and the boiled Moharra ala Fridrico (without curry). We want to come back again.

Very friendly and supportive staff. The food tastes good and the hotel right at the beach. Rooms as well as the rest of the hotel is clean and we'll taken care if. The WiFi is sufficiently fast for day to day usage. The area is calm but there are bars and shops in walking distance if one needs a bit more life.

Okay, so it's not a fancy place. If you aren't too fancy, you appreciate a clean room and a great host, this place is for you. The owners are super helpful, and gave us great advice for the rest of our trip. We were considering having food out of the hotel, but ate at the hotel restaurant due to laziness, and it was great!

This place is amazing, one of my favorite hotels that I have stayed at in my travels in Latin America, and not just because it's beautiful (ocean views from every window), clean, quiet, had a pool, and serves delicious food, but it's because the staff here are so nice. I was actually sick during my stay here and I feel like the people at this hotel took care of me like family, always bringing me ginger tea in the night and mornings. Originally I had only wanted to stay overnight but extended it for another three days due to the incredible hospitality I received here. And nobody ever pressured me to spend money; I felt that everyone's advice on what to see and do both at the hotel and locally was genuine. The food was well priced, and English is spoken here. I was able to pick up wifi from my room, but it works best in the common area which is quite cozy. Weekends were busy but weekdays you feel like you have the place to yourself. It's really a hidden paradise that you'd never expect to find down such a gnarly rutted road, but once you're there, you don't want to ever leave. A small grocery store and restaurant are two minutes walking distance to the road. I highly recommend this place!

This place is spectacular, it has excellent service, the beach is very clean, and it has a wonderful view of sunrise and sunset. I really recommended it to spend a great weekend.

We had a great time! The owners are great. They took us to the mud volcano, which was a once in a lifetime experience. They also provided transportation to the airport in Barranquilla! The next time I'm in Santa Veronica, I know where I'm staying!

What an amazing kiteboarding trip for us, the conditions were perfect, my husband and I were on 5, 6 or 7 meter for 2 weeks ! and the hotel is right by the water, you can start the kitesurfing in front of the hotel , stay there all day or downwind to other beaches!
The hotel is very clean, staff super friendly and helpful.

The host "Maria" is just wonderful, perhaps one of the best hosts we have ever had, she manages the small hotel , like her household, we just felt that we were vising her home! Very tasty meals and she was also taking special requests for dinner, making us whatever we wanted! oh and great breakfasts too!
Her husband Elkin, drove us around and showed the town, even took us for a afternoon of sightseeing and cocktails in Cartagena.
Overall wonderful trip and I will be back to this hotel next year!

Direct access to the beach which is cleaned nearly every day or even every day.

Tips:
Do the trip to Volcán del Totumo with the host.
Notice it may be worth it to do a kite surfing course.
There is no ATM in Santa Verónica (next ATM in Juan de Acosta). At the hotel you can pay by credit card.

Very nice spot for kitesurfing. The family who owns the hotel is extremely nice and helpful. We stayed there a couple of nights and loved it. Surely the best hotel in town.

The Ownsers (Colombian Couple) are awsome and realy helpful. They like theyr job and you can feel that every minute of your stay.They also speak both perfect english.
