Mirador Guane

Breathtaking sceneries of the huge Canyon Chicamocha + possibilities to venture further and even do a loop hiking to Cuevas del Nitro. The whole trip will be around 14 km and may take about 3 hours in walking pace.

An excellent spot to see the canyon, bring a picnic and some drinks and enjoy a wonderful afternoon here.

An epic view from this place. Definitely encourage walking from town for those that like exercise but warn you of unsecured dogs at the winery property (on map) that seem very aggressive. They didn’t charge but i didn’t trust it as a safe situation.

Fantastic view. One of the most beautiful places in Colombia, where many of the towns and areas of Santander can be seen. The road to get to it is not in great shape, but we managed with a small sedan with no major issues (Renault Logan), but bear in mind that it was the dry season. There is no place to get food around, so bring your own, but keep the beautiful place clean!!

Distance from the principal park is 4.6 km, good for a morning hiking, the sightseeing is wonderful and there is a spot for buying snacks and beverages. I didn't see any transport service, then it's mandatory a car in case you don't want to walk.

Amazing view of Chicamocha canyon, Sogamoso river and towns near Zapatoca. A very quiet place.

The only store there sells fast food and snacks with beer.

The view is simply breath-taking! The walk from zapatoca is also worth it. There's a restaurant nearby.
